Simple fix then. Get Gas hood dampers, Remove OEM bonnet prop No wonkiness PROFIT!! That's what I did Chris......but with added CF bonnet.......and Aerocatches

As stupid as it sounds, the bonnet stay in place and a cooling panel seems in some cases to cause lift onthe front bonnet edge, and strangely on the passenger side too. Not all the time, but from time to time

Have you tried removing the bonnet stay and see if it make any difference? Otherwise I'd say Bonnet + Dremel + cutting disc + Aerocatch bonnet latches = straight bonnet

If you managed to do that, then this thread wasn't necessary at all

And yes, those weave imperfections were there when I got the bonnet new

This is after a few hours since last coat went on Overall it still has a matt texture but with a flash at the right angle it looks good. Compare this to the first picture in the thread, you'll see that there were a bunch of patches on this side. Already looking forward to buffing up with Megs Ultimate Compound (2 weeks is gonna be looooong wait)

I started my bonnet refresh take two today, which has been mostly spent rubbing wet and dry 1200 grit all over the bonnet Four coats of lacquer....so far Right, that's five coats done And that's me out of lacquer too, used up two 500ml spray cans (which don't even rattle anymore). Now I have to wait at least 24 hours for it to dry and then another two weeks before I can use any rubbing compound to smooth the finish to a shine. I will be careful with the compound tho, but that's also why I put many coats on
