  1. Volvo also trialled the "platooning" system, where you basically follow a lead vehicle and then latch on to it like a train carriage using wireless technology. One of the reasons as to why it wouldn't work in the UK is that the law here states that a person has to be in control of the vehicle at all times. Unless that law changes, that tech will not be allowed
  2. Just got some entry level Pioneer 170's. You will need to mod the existing front speakers to reuse the frame to mount the new speakers and you will need to cut a bit of plastic out of the harness plugs where the door shut is. Rears are a straight swap with no mods.
  3. Yes, the speaker trim just clips off.......after you first take the rear of the door trim and lift it so you can get to the rear quarter trim, loosen then rear quarter trim lower half, do the same on the other side, pop them both all the way to the back and remove, then loosen center tunnel and raise, so that the cover piece over the sub and glove box can come out, and then finally you can unpop the top cover and undo the tabs that hold the speaker trim, of which two are plastic welded
  4. Depends on what you are planning to do, will they be added to existing OEM setup or will they be added to an after market HU or aftermarket HU with amps and more importantly, how much are you willing to spend?
  5. ..blunt?At least you'll get high, lol
  6. but that don't rhyme but anyway, back to the OP, has anybody picked up the phone to ask if there is a supercharger on the car or if it was a typo, otherwise we are no more mature than a pre-school playground
  7. Yes, HKS did make a SC kit for the Zed, Ian installed one on his (before he sold it....the fool ) http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53872-project-jdm-whore/page__hl__supercharger#entry799674
  8. That's a lot of worms... Like I said, it will do for now. Adding amps and swapping out for better speakers might happen, but not for a while True enough. Do you plan to amp the rear speakers too? If and when amps will be added, it will be two amps, one 4-channel for front and rear speakers and one monoblock/1-channel amp for a subwoofer
  9. Or put washers under each bolt to raise the strut bar like you would do when fitting a plenum spacer?
  10. That's a lot of worms... Like I said, it will do for now. Adding amps and swapping out for better speakers might happen, but not for a while
  11. You're alright Sar, was only kidding. If I ever had wanted one, you would have known
  12. I miss one Mod Day and I fall out of your good graces
  13. At least the hard bit of routing the speaker wire into the doors is done. That was probably the hardest bit to do today, like first undoing the main plug, then cutting a hole for the wire with a craft knife, push wire through, and then putting it all back together. Talk about restrictive access on the drivers side with all them other wiring looms about.
  14. Went to connect the speakers directly to the HU, no more Bose amp rubbish, well apart from the OEM Bose sub, will have to revisit that some day
  15. LY55 EEZ.......rather reads like a medicine to make you lie more easily...
  16. Took door card off to do a window reset to find this Like really?!? Mould??? But I did find a sure and effective way if getting rid of it. You do this  In disgust of the mouldy speaker I went to local car audio shop, got some coaxials and components and spent the rest of the day taking almost all of the interior plastics out and putting the replacements in. But it was worth it and the car sounds better for it. It might not be your top of the range install but for my ears it will do (for now)

    VIP BLING.

Mind you, apart from the curtains and interior bling bling, I do like the exterior appearance of VIP styled cars, usually four door saloon cars with big deep dish alloys and hellaflush stance. Could work on a Jag.....
  18. True Dual Aero Exhaust....as mentioned above

Wow that looks just like a hearse Either that or they take dogging real serious in Japan

    VIP BLING.

Junction Produce are a popular company in Japan that make items for the VIP Style modding. Those tassels are to go with privacy curtains that are added to the side windows. Usually hung from rear use mirror as previously mentioned.
  21. Push fit clips, if you struggle to find any, shoot a PM to ZMANALEX (Or drill a hole next to it and use cable ties)

    Trial fit

How about replacing the Nissan burgers front and back for BMW badges, just to confuse people
  23. ^^ +1 Andy @ CS told me the best way to adjust them is finding a garage with a four post lift, then raise car and then undo the locking nuts and then basically just finger tight the main adjuster so there is no load on them, then do lock nuts back up again. Hope this helps
