  1. Not feeling blue on the rays- not spokes, definitely not a lip. Go for plain anthracite or shadow chrome. If you want colour get the calipers done but dont limit yourself to blue, several colours could work. Here's my azure with red calipers and wheels painted smoked chrome including the lips
  2. Or switch to the full desktop site Jim I can picture you with yellow facepaint trying to scare away grizzly bears from your driveway
  3. Welcome along. Toyed with the idea of an S14a myself to replace the zed but opted for the skyline instead. The zed is a great car- ticks all the right boxes and great value for money. Let's see your current project
  4. While I completely agree that the colour of any car can make or break it (saw a vw up in black for the first time and thought that's quite tidy! ), there's too many variables to consider when looking at used car prices. Age, spec, mileage, condition, service history etc etc it's too hard to find identical cars to compare the prices on colour Yes azure, chilli, night blue might be more attractive to most buyers and the right colour cam transform the appearance of any car, it's a very personal thing. Im not a fan of sunset zeds but some won't consider any other colour Anyhoo I'm booking my skyline in for a brown respray with a pink roof
  5. Paul T had dark red touches on his liquid yellow zed and it looked great. Something more vibrant but still dark would look great http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/38112-paul-t-build-thread-2nd-time-around/page__fromsearch__1
  6. Id say viper red from everything mentioned so far
  7. When I had the zed the replacements I was looking at were a 996 c4s or merc SL, german sporting luxury was what I was after. If I had gone down that route I wouldn't have the house I bought so they were soon out the equation When I got closer to having to sell the zed I was gutted cos of the work that had gone into it. No car under 10k was taking my fancy. I wanted a head turner, something rare, nice to drive, power wasn't essential but would obviously be a bonus but nothing was jumping out at me Then I decided to go for something cheaper, keep it as a second car when the time came to get something sensible. That way I wouldn't mind having another project and be gutted to lose it. If I went jap then I could still go to meets and shows etc Thought about a few cars like an S14a etc but decided on an r33 as it's that bit more unique. Searched for a while and found one for a touch over 3k. Already modded so I wouldn't be throwing money at it, previous owners loss was my gain It will be a long term on going project and hoping to get a bit more hands on than I did with the zed. When I need something with 4 doors il get a german barge A lot of people with 2 cars get a nice coupe for the weekends and a shed for commuting. But I always say let the daily commuter be a nice luxury car and the "shed" be a cheap project for the weekends
  8. At least a radio looks slightly like a bread bin. I thought the car was real! I was thinking the front needs lowered further and flip paint is so last millennium before I realised
  9. I was looking at the kit wheels and spoiler thinking they've modded that to look like a toy car. Took a while to notice the cookie jar
  10. Think he meant the car is silver with rays and brembos Welcome along. Never realised there was a naughty word in that place before Pics of the old cars plz

    Shocked!

I wash, rinse, then fresh water with extra shampoo So is iron x a spray? Does it remove tar spots?

    Shocked!

When claying I have a. Bucket with small amount of warm soapy water. When folding it as downhuman says clean it in the water at the same time to remove some off the stuff from the clay. The soapy water acts as a lube too

  20. Good result. I'm looking into doing my skyline headlights. Looked at a few write ups heard varying info for which grit paper to use. A few said use start with 1500, then 2000, then 2500 followed by machine polish with a cutting compound. What are your thoughts on that guys?
  21. If this was real football would have an even bigger audience
  22. Search dreamcustomz, Paul used to do this a few members had their internals colour coded, I loved mine
