  1. Nothing against the man but here's a far more objective assessment of what he achieved: http://www.xda-developers.com/feature/well-see-you-around-steve-steve-jobs-passes-away-at-age-56/
  2. Worth checking the air filter often as it gets pretty dirty and a few leaves find their way into the box too. Check the brake pad thickness as well because they wear a lot quicker than the discs. Popping the wheels off is a laborious job though on the driveway with such a heavy car/wheels.

    fuel economy

Slim chance a piston or two are stuck in the calipers but I doubt it... Brembo's are quality bits of kit.
  4. The Google Nexus Prime looks like an alien communicator from another planet compared to that lame re-hash Apple is really pushing the limits of milking its following for every penny... If it's all about the software just keep your existing phones and install iOS5 (woo-hoo, notifications just like Android had in 2008)
  5. Almost all G35s here are autos. There's 2/3 manuals on PH and AutoTrader but your choice is extremely limited!
  6. These cars are way out of warranty now so no point paying through the nose at main dealers The P services don't even include jobs that older cars need like brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs...
  7. Paul Wilcox, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nissan in Europe, said: “Juke lends itself perfectly to a sports derivative and Juke-R explores that territory. It showcases two of the most exciting cars in our range and highlights the technical innovation that drives Nissan.†Two examples of the Juke-R will be produced – one each in right and left-hand drive. The interior is fitted with gauges, dials and the LCD screen from the GT-R. Although the car is road legal, it features competition-spec technology such as twin race seats, five-point harnesses and a competition-spec rollcage. The Juke-R has been developed by motorsport preparation specialist RML, with input from the Nissan Technical Centre for Europe at Cranfield, Bedfordshire. The car is still in development and is expected to start testing in November.
  8. When it was re-imported the DVLA wouldn't know/care/check if it was previously registered here and what plate it was on before. Whoever registered it probably could have provided evidence to get it put back on a 53 but obviously wasn't that bothered.
  9. Makes perfect sense for it to go back onto a 52 plate. If the only evidence available to the DVLA was that it was made in 2003 then they would stick it on the oldest 2003 plate possible, which was 52 (1st Sep 2002 - 28th Feb 2003). They're all Z33's just as the previous 300ZX was the Z32 and the 370Z is the Z34.
  10. S2000-FU strike again Noticed in your pics they seem to have fitted a VW aerial as well
  11. Unfortunately there's a lot of myths around the GT pack: Bose Stereo (Both head units are made by Clarion and the non-Bose system is easier to upgrade) Rays Alloys (Optional on both models before the 06 facelift, standard on both after) Brembo Brakes (Standard on all UK cars, rare on JDM imports) Hands-Free (Fitted to both coupe models, not roadsters) Lots of over-priced GTs go unsold for months and trade-in values are only £500 more than the base model. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=53044
  12. About £2k over-priced in this market and you'll probably be offered less than £20k for yours. Only the 2011 GT Edition is a significant upgrade from older cars (revised suspension, sound proofing).

  14. Like the Micra with a Z engine, they build these for a bit of fun and for events like Goodwood. No doubt they'll be putting the Juke around the Nurburgring soon.
  15. Even the early engine makes 80 PS/litre (later versions 85 and 90 PS/litre) so there's no huge restrictions to be removed. The equivalent BMW 3.5 only made 245 horsepower (70 PS/litre).
  16. Just dug out a couple of recent tests by AutoExpress and Evo... Both say good good in the dry, below average in the wet, but at least they had a "safe, progressive breakaway".
  17. Not quite. The Z sits on a shortened (by 20cm/8") version of the same platform: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline#V35 The 350GT is a 2+2 coupe version of the Skyline saloon with the same engine as the 350Z. There's a few imports about, mostly autos though.
  18. UK non-GTs with the unbranded headunit also got the hands-free kit. It's roadsters that didn't get it, due to the extra noise I guess A 3rd party solution will probably be cheaper and easier than retro-fitting the standard kit. The Bluetooth adapter goes for £70+ these days

    Kumhos

Had some on my car for over a year and no complaints about grip or wear. They take the edge off the ride and noise but being so soft you need an extra 2-3psi in them to handle the weight. Few tyres have sidewalls as stiff as the stock Bridgestone's.

    Hyundai Genesis

2+2, RWD, 3.8 V6 or 2.0 Turbo. Stacks up well against the Z and G37 in tests. Has been around almost 3 years already but LHD only. Rumour has it the next gen model will be designed for RHD (for UK/Japan/Australia).
  21. Consumer Reports in the US say performance is very similar and both the TT and GT versions of the SportMaxx are placed higher in their overall ranking.
  22. S2000-4U Their customer service is legendary and not in a good way! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35746&p=532838 http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=39117&p=401349
  23. Would go with 5 cylinders for the noise plus they can be chipped to ~225bhp
  24. The Z uses a drum brake inside the rear disc and it's pretty weak for a car of this weight. Use 1st gear as it's the one with greatest resistance. If there's a curb you should also turn your wheels (pointing downhill/uphill):
