  1. that's the attitude to adopt.ðŸ‘
  2. Looking real good GM👠What's tge deal with those depo lights? Does it retain the xenon? Single or bixenon? What's the output like? Can you adjust the throw to UK spec? Your overall feedback would be appreciated.
  3. GT4 Z or GT4 zed. Same difference so I went for the later. Always wanted to change for more creative but could not come up with something better. @ Ekona; I had always assumed you pinched the handle after a small town in Cameroon famous for advance agricultural research. They did weird stuff like grafting oranges, lemon and other citrus fruits from the same three🙀
  4. Really don't see what you(op) want the garage to say or do further. It is clearly human error as those bolts never work loose and if anything requires some force to undo them. I change all my fluids at least once yearly so I know. The response was std speak without actually admitting fault. The offer to fit the lower rubber gaitor is a subtle way to acknowledge this and apolog. Anything else is faffing and a waste of time in your part.
  5. Bump! Never got on from Grundy👀.
  6. Has that piece of junk blown up yet SOB?
  7. AFAIK just for the 350z. I think the pick up point design is different on the Z34 though fundamentally the outlay is the same.
  8. Teins are still up for sale.
  9. Abbey Horsham :scare: As already said. Gains are gains. You have to decide the worth and cost to yourself.
  10. thanks for the advice i have done the mods on the vortech belt with a new gates heavy use and with adicional two pulleys near the vortech pulley, no slip at all. intercooler not a problem meth keep down the internal temp. Aha, missed the fact you have meth. What are planing to tune with? UPrev or standalone ECU?Personally I would avoid meth injection and use water only if AITs are high but it's just easier to spec an appropriate intercooler. Reduces complexity, running cost and the need to get a steady meth supply. The same reason I would not use n2o. I have the mega efficient treadstone TR1245 intercooler which is rated over 1000hp. I also know somebody using it and pushing out 760whp with the Vortech V7 sc and no meth. His AITs are just a few degrees over ambient and he has no issues even on track/gymkhana. In anycase whatever works for you it will be interes to follow your buildðŸ‘
  11. Nice parts list Alex. 10.3:1 CR is equal to stock CR. Should be ok as you will be making just under 500whp with the V3 if you use the 2.87 pulley. The issue you will have is keeping AITs down with a very efficient Intercooler and avoiding belt slip. The STS Vortech intercooler will not cut it. I did not get any belt slip when I upgraded my serpentine belt to the gates HD belt. Keep the build and pics coming😎
  12. Forgot about this thread completely. Don't know what happened as I'm sure I subbed when creating it. Anyways I'll keep an eye. Alex did you sort your issues? Your set up was disastrous!
  13. Maybe they never made it into production or simply they were whisked away in hiding for the second coming Just tell him will you
  14. I-Romania 😌
  15. Don't be a pessimist Dazza. I've ran a couple of alfas now with no issues. You need to buy a good one in the first place. How many cars of that era had 50:50 weight distribution, high revving and very tractable responsive engines?
  16. I fell in love with alfas through my friend who has about 20 alfas from as far back as late 60s. They were very advanced in their time and almost got killed off during the 80s when Italy was in recession and quality control and materials where overlooked but they still were very innovative. If you can get a 156 GTA 3.2l in good condition and history for a good price you will not loose a penny on it. They are going up in value and getting rare to find. My friend has been telling to get one and he is an Alfaholic and very good speculator so consider it. Another modern-ish alfa that is in the up is the 155 Q4 cloverleaf. It's the precursor of the turbo 4wd saloons exemplified by Subaru and Mitsubishi. My friend has one and it just amazing! But I doubt you will find one. If you want pure beauty and diesel then the 159 GT is the one. Also comes with petrol. Good luck with everything mate.
  17. Wasso what's cooking with the LS swap? I have been hoping to hear it was underway but seeing as I'm not here often I may have missed something. I really need some competition next year and Suzi with an LS will be wicked😎
  18. What do you mean? If your car is immobile you can still do this. I can help you do the swap if you have tools and a good quality axle stands. I can come and get off your oem parts then help you instal my bushed parts. We just need to free weekends. Give me a shout if you are serious. Pm sent
  19. Any upgrade on the zed is worth it! It all comes down to what your goals are and importantly your pocket. Otherwise is very hard to respond to this blanket questions. I for one have done full NA bolt-ons to sc and along the way full suspension and brake upgrade. I've recently sold my supercharger as I'm getting a bigger one but despite the loss of almost 200whp my zed still gives me goose bumps because of how incredible it handles and brakes. This is event more apparent now that I have the M3 V8 as a benchmark to compare. With what I know now and if I was never going FI this will be my mods for fast road/trackday in no particular order. - d1 throttle controller - uprated airfilter with Revup box - SS brake hoses and dot 5.1 fluid - uprated pads eg PF or pagids - full urethane bushes all round -adjustable ARBs and DL -adjustable camber/toe arms - ultra high performance tyres(2+ sizes) on Rays - good lowering springs or high end coilovers. (Cheap coilovers are not better than OEM dampers with high end lowering springs.) - SS clutch line and 5.1 fluid - SMF and LW clutch - shed weight wherever you can - decats/y pipe if you need more noise but not as I type exhaust. After all this lot then I will consider Uprev remap for which you need atleast: - decat/HFC -y pipe or full cat back exhaust It's not cheap and that not looking at cosmetic enhancements👀 You really need to plan what you want or leave the car as is, slap some cosmetic personal touches and enjoy it.
  20. Bump! No firm offers yet! But to make everything clear herewith the prices. I'm only asking for £200 or £250 depending on if you send your lower front arms or not for swap. For the rears I want £500 for subframe, diff and both upper and lower control arm with bushes depending on your rear setup. £400 if you swap. I can get fitting done by my experienced mechanic for £200. Even better £275 for Both front and rear. To be honest swapping the rear will be challenging as we need 2 ramps simultaneously on less you send your rear parts to me first. Just buying my parts outright is the best option especially if you take advantage of cheap fitting cost. Obviously there will be a small discount if the same person gets both parts. This is an opportunity not to be missed to get your zed handling like nothing you've experienced before. As incentive I will throw in a Stillen engine damper FOC and possibly an uprated gear box mount if I get my solid mount in time I will also replace any damaged bushes in the unlikely event of any. The last inspection revealed no issues. I'll let this run for 2 more weeks after which I'll just regretfully destroy all the urethane bushes and fit the SPL rose jointed bushes.

    EPR nuts?

+1. But using ali nuts on steel bolts is always asking for trouble. I have had muteki extended open end nuts for 5yrs with no probs.
  22. Nice work GM! Very tidy and smart liking zed. Very creative with the wrench mod. Keep the pics comingðŸ‘
  23. 👀 try to read what the op wants😉
