  1. My mrs thought i was bonkers when i said i wanted a Lenser as an anniversary gift! She got me the P7 and the smaller one as a gift pack discounted, with the P7 laser etched. I laser etched the smaller one at work,as everyone was very jealous of it. It sparked the whole department getting an LED torch. Though they all got cheapo £5 ones that are pap! I started a small revolution at work though! lol They are great torches, wish i could justify buying one of the big ones, that would be like a WW2 search light!
  2. ^^^,good call. There was an F430 spider at Bedford on saturday,it did 3 laps and got kicked off for being too loud! lol Ferrari's generally are not my thing,id choose a Lambo.
  3. What circuit is it on,and long is it? I would think that 7 miles would only be a couple of laps, you may find that you get better value for money from the GTR,and the chance is that you will be able to open it up abit more. Just see how long 4 laps is,and see if its more or less than 7 miles.
  4. Trouble is,if you choose the Gallardo, you will probably find that you will only be allowed to go into a set gear,4th or something, and no more. Id imagine with the GTR and Turbo, you would be allowed to open them up abit more. I know 2 people that have done it,and said that you can only go up set revs, gears, speed etc. They drove a Ferrari and an Aston. Maybe worth checking. Where is the experience?
  5. Yes, that's the combo most owners upgrade to. Just be aware that there will be a slight increase in clutch chatter I have that exact combo too, Exedy & Fidanza... There is more chatter yes but it is more than worth it Sorry darling, cant hear you over the interesting chatter going on between me and my car now that iv installed £1000 worth of clutch and flywheel that probably stopped us having that great holiday away we were going to have!
  6. I havnt yet no,as havnt been out in the car since, but was planning on checking them on the way to work this afternoon. Should i keep them at 33-34,which is what they were at to start with?
  7. Didnt realise this would cause such a debate! I inflated my tyres to 36 front and 37rear just after i left home, and have to say that they were at 33F+34R before. After a few laps,i felt the car wasnt right,so checked the pressures, and they were over 40 all round,so dropped them to 35 all round, and the car felt so much better, and more planted, especially round the fast corners. I was understeering before, and after the pressure drop,it just gripped and felt alot better.
  8. Plus,if you felt the weight of the standard pulleys, you would change them,as the standard ones weigh alot!
  9. I have a set of AMS uprated pulleys fitted to my 350. I think it spins up abit quicker than it did before. Really noticed it in 6th gear while doing 30mph,then accelerating, seems to spin up abit better than it did before.
  10. 452's are like t1r's melt very easy. Won't last long on track. Best dry track tyre is re040's. Very grippy once got and hard as hell to wear. 452's and t1r's are better suited to wet days. Are you running 18's or 19's mate. If 18's then as ekona said runner higher pressure as the sidewalls may get it bad. They're pretty soft in comparison to oem spec tyres They are 19" mate.
  11. Could do with your supercharged Zed! My mate with his E92 M3 is coming!
  12. Cool, thanks, will check them in the morning before i leave.
  13. Im doing a MSV How Fast tomorrow, which should be great. Just wondering what sort of cold pressures i should be running in my Falken 452's,they are 35 profile 19". Done a quick search, but couldnt find anything specific for track days and Falkens.
  14. Can't believe I missed this off my list as well, totally forgot Where do you play? DB Play all over the place mate, always happy to make an awesome roadtrip to a site (especially in a Zed.. the boot is actually a good shape for gun bags!) Xsite High Wycombe was my first site and my 'regular' site (although dont play that regularly outside summer because team mates are at Uni). Xsite is a bit aimed at new players and does more paintball style games, but its very well run and marshalled and is a good day out. Also pop down to Ground Zero every now and then, woodland and Urban, been to Urban Assault up in Peterbrough too. And a couple of other one time trips! Yourself? I did Airsoft earlier in the year, and loved it. Played at the shopping mall in Reading, really good fun. Though busted my toe in the steel toe cap boots i wore, and its still not back to normal, that was February. Great fun,a few guys at work do it and have their own rifles etc.
  15. I know in the 350 that when it says i have --- miles left, that iv got about 50 miles. I really pushed my luck the other day,and when i filled up,i worked out i only had 3 litres of fuel left in the tank before i refueled. Thats the least iv ever had in there.
  16. The only app i can find for petrol prices,is Gas Bag,and its got really poor ratings. What the app called that you use?
  17. If you have an Iphone, download the Shell station app,as this will tell you all the stations, and what fuel they sell while on the go. It helped me out loads when in Cornwall.
  18. Cant seem to find a decent You Tube version of it,but for pure banging trance, you cant beat Cherry Blossom by Eddie Halliwell. If you want some drive angry rock, then Ace of Spades by Motor Head has got to be up there.
  19. My mums husband had a CLK 320 (similar year),and the build quality on it was poor to say the least. The power adjustment for the steering wheel broke, and was going to cost £2k to replace, and compared to my mums mk1 SLK,the touch and feel of everything was noticeably a step down. As said,if you can live with the petrol over the diesel, then get the G35.
  20. It is very time consuming yes,it takes about a month or so just to laminate a chassis, then it has to be bonded together and machined several times before stuff like ducts, brackets etc get bonded on. We are going to start machining our chassis pattern in the next week, then all the moulds need making from that, before even the chassis can be started.

    Tyre dilemma....

Iv always thought that my 452's were great in the wet to be honest, but then im no mr Vettel,i wonder if the 275 width helps with the grip? Iv driven through some pretty horrific standing water, and found the tyres cut through very well. All depends on what you want really, and how you drive.
  22. Sound like a painful experience from start to finish. What a piece of wall art though! Wish i could get away with having a huge piece of carbon in our living room!
  23. Do an exchange for a crate of redbull? lol whats wrong with it,does it need trimming up? I dont blame you for liking it,its a very pretty thing
  24. Do i get your carbon bonnet as a prize? lol It looked similar to my mates older Daytona 955 that hes recently replaced with a GXR1000. Though he said for character the Daytona beats the GSXR. Your one is a very nice looking one thats for sure, great colours too. I know pretty much nothing about bikes, but i know what i like the look of.
