Ok Ive just purchased myself another exhaust so as soon as its fitted my Amuse R1 Titan exhaust will be up for sale. Retail on these is around £2.5k, its hand made and fully titanium. I will get pics up as soon as the new one is fitted but if anyone wants to pm me with their interest please go ahead and Ill keep you posted on progress. Im switching exhaust for the sole reason of getting some money back into my bank account so if you want to make an offer on this truly awesome exhaust please pm me - I wont be offended so dont be scared! Looks really nice mate - Ive re-sprayed the centre console on almost every car Ive had and always been happy with it. Was thinking of doing the same in the Zed but got caught up on colour - chrome, blade to match the outside, black etc... Really nice to see it done and im sure many will follow suit - myself included now

its a simple fit mate - it plugs inbetween your car and the aerial input on the headunit. You then need to attach the power cable to the power cable on the head unit - nice and easy. Will take you 10 secs if you already have the head unit out. All it does is expand the frequency so you will pick up UK stations but the head unit will still display the dodgy numbers. So for example you may find Kiss 100 is on 93.2 or something like that but once you save them all as presets its no bother. As said before ebay for a few quid is the way to go!

Im in a bit of a pickle money wise so Im looking to get some money out of the Amuse Titan Exhaust on my Zed. In order to do that Ill need to pick up another exhaust and Im leaning towards the K1 just for price and sound reasons. Ideally Id like to get one second hand so if anyone is selling let me know. Im just in it for the cash at the moment as my finances are so bad im taking out loans on my loans. If I can get a few quid for it and swap to a cheaper one then I may have to do it. I know that further down the line Ill regret giving up a £2.5k exhaust but right now I need the dough.

Yeah there are another 2 pages of the feature including an engine bay shot but I didnt have those sent to me so couldnt upload them here. They were just after a nicely tuned JDM zed for the feature as it was all about importing cars. They said that their new style is tuning for performance rather then just the sake of tuning - but it didnt mean that you needed a beast of an engine to get in. It just meant that if you fitted suspension you fitted it for the ride handling and tuning capabilities not just to make it look nice and low. There is plenty on my car that is done for looks but there is also a purpose to 99% of it

yeah Ill take a look. Ive found a few of the new head units that look nice but when you read into them they cant handle the ipod touch very well. Some of the ones that play video say they can only do it if its organised in playlists and it actually uses the DVD player rather then the ipod to do it. Some say it will play video but not run the audio. Others say it will work fine but you have to use the ipod itself to control things and not the head unit. Its becoming a pain in my ar$e to be honest. Surely there is a double din unit designed for ipod audio and video!?!

Right - I bought a 2gb card and it worked first time with no problems. I cant believe it was all down to card size. Thats £15 I'll never get back So anyway the firmware is now up to date and I installed the speed camera database as points of interest. Now when Im driving all the speed cameras show up on my map but unfortunately thats all they do. I dont get any warning of the current limit or an alert that a camera is coming up. Is there something I need to change in my settings. When I paid out for the speed camera alerts upgrade I must admit I was expecting to be "alerted" to the speed cameras and at least told what the current limit is supposed to be. Cheers for any help guys!

To be honest I think its just accepted that the touch screen interface is pretty poor (from what I can find on AVforums and the like). Its just a really slow scroll. You go through 100 pages to get to the song you like, then next time you go to the folders it starts from the beginning again so you have to do the same thing. Im getting a new one anyway now I think. Just bought an ipod touch and im after a double din touch screen unit that will play both audio and video using the head unit user interface (not the ipod itself). Any ideas!!??!

Id be inclined to agree with you though mate - as you said surely it would only be as good as the weakest point. Be interested to hear any other opinions on this method though!

Yeah I thought the same when I was buying all the top quality cable for the car. I asked the guy in the Audio Store how much he would charge me to run it through the doors and he said "we never do that we splice inside the car". Thats why I went away and did it myself but thought Id see on here if that really was an acceptable method. Just goes to show you better ask what your ICE installers are planning to do before you part with your hard earned.

What do you mean H5? I dont have any number buttons on mine - the whole screen is touch screen. Only buttons I have are volume up and down, source and eject along the bottom of the unit. When browsing the folders screen no buttons are displayed other then an absolutely shocking scroll bar. Any info that would make this unit quicker to use would be much appreciated.

Just out of interest did you guys run the amp wiring through the front doors to the speakers or did you splice into the original wiring for the door speakers inside the car? Ive heard of both ways so just wondering what other ICE enthusiasts have done!

Thanks a lot guys. I found out that the cable for the JVC (and I guess the Alpine) has one connection to the ipod but then has two outputs on the cable - one being video input and the other being a usb. You plug both of them into the head unit and that takes care of video and audio. Im tempted to buy the cable for the Alpine and see how it goes but Ive been advised that my unit may not handle ipod video efficiently - I cant see why not though as the DVD quality on it is awesome. I agree that Alpine is a better stereo but if Im honest the control of the ipod is appauling - they have such a poor user interface and you cant use the ipod itself either. Sometimes its quicker to disconnect the ipod, find the tune i want on the pod, pause it, reconnect then play it rather then use Alpines shocking search system. If I do change units Ill keep an eye on whats available but I just looked at the JVC as I thought it was video compatible without the need for the extra cable. Thanks again!!
