  1. Yeah sorry for the delay. The exhaust was removed and is at Fiddy's house as we speak. I think Fiddy himself might be keen to keep it but if not he's going to get some piccies up for me. Mark - did you get my last PM. Let me know if you want to keep it and we can sort something out.
  2. Friend of mine is after these for a set of HKS suspension I sorted him out with. Anyone have any or know where he can source them? Cheers guys
  3. Do you have the BOSE system in your car? If so then you will need the PAC Audio interface to connect it up properly.
  4. I wouldnt be surprised!!
  5. +1 soo throaty and deep whihc bit of it is giving the deepness or is it just the whoile package is its quite different from th rest ? I will say that when I did my swap on Sunday at Fiddy's I only swapped the mid pipe and back boxes from the Amuse to the RSR. Everything else remained the same (hi flow cats, nismo y pipe, plenum, CAI etc....) and it instantly became 10 times deeper. Whilst everything else combined adds to the overall sound I would be confident in saying that the deepness of the noise is almost entirely from the RSR mid pipe and back boxes alone. I fitted the baffles yesterday and its no where near as loud or deep now. I'll get another video up for comparison. Its much more of a daily driver now but still sounds great. For me all I want is the deepness from the first vid but with not as much vibration through the car. Since fitting the baffles the vibration inside has stopped but its not deep enough for me - perhaps Ill invest in the ECV and see how that goes.
  6. UPDATE: Removed the Amuse yesterday at 3Fiddy's with the help of Mark, Dan and Jon. Jesus that really is one light exhaust - was a shame to see it coming off but cash is more important to me at the moment. Fiddy was kind enough to store it for me and will hopefully get a few pics posted when he gets a chance - thanks very much mate! Once the pics are up let me know if anyone is interested otherwise it will end up on ebay (unless temptation gets the better of Mark )
  7. Cheers for all the comments guys. Hopefully it wont be the last feature as soon as I can find some money to do a few other bits.
  8. If your into it mate and your having people make you custom boxes then you could always go for something like mine. If you were hiding the amp(s) then it wouldnt take up that much more space then a tonneau cover.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys - I know how it must seem to spend this kind of money on an exhaust but as has been said its one of the best money can buy and at this price its a huge saving over retail. Will have it off the car and pics up asap. Thanks again
  10. In short the 820 has a detachable faceplate, more pre-outs at higher voltage and built in bluetooth. Check this out mate - its a great video review on both.
  11. Also caraudiodirect.co.uk are offering the 820 for only £439 (so not much more then the 720 on ebay) if you want the built in bluetooth among other features.
  12. Those of you with the 820 have any of you added the cable for ipod video? If so does it work well? Im looking at getting this unit too. Cheers.
  13. Nice one Rob. Should be simple enough. Dan - it wont be straight away that I do this as Im moving house in 2 weeks so will be shortly after that. I had planned to sell the PAC unit still attached to my Alpine double din so that its plug and play for anyone with BOSE but if I dont end up doing that then I'll save it for you mate.
  14. Thanks Rob As for the earth feed is this the only thing not covered when using the micra loom? My amps in the boot are all earthed near their location but I have a sat nav unit and av input box that are using the current earth from the PAC audio box. If I remove the PAC audio and use the Micra loom can I simply take the earth from the car side before it goes into the loom if that makes sense or can I run the earth to the same place my rear amps are earthed? Cheers mate.
  15. Thanks Martin some useful stuff there. Basically what I still need to learn is if I can use a 350z specific ISO adapter to connect it up as long as I dont want to keep any of the BOSE stuff or will this not work? If it wont work then can I just locate the wires I need from the car side (ignition, earth, remote etc) and splide them directly to my new head unit? I wont need to wire up the standard speaker wires because all my speakers are running off additional amps. Cheers guys.
  16. Hey guys I have already installed a double din unit, changed all the speakers and installed amps so I dont really need any of the BOSE stuff anymore. When I first installed the head unit I fitted the PAC audio box so I could keep all the BOSE and since then Ive just added all the new stuff whilst keeping the BOSE. Im about to change head units and while Im in there I plan to make some space and do away with the PAC Audio interface. Just had one question - At the moment everything is running through the PAC (power source etc) so when I remove the PAC how do I go about providing power to the head unit and things such as the remote cable that runs to the amp. Can I just splice these things in directly and if so how can I tell which wires on the car side to use? I dont know how much sense im making here but hopefully someone will understand. Cheers guys
  17. Looks sweeeeeet mate! nice work. I already have sat nav and dvd and all that in mine so just out of interest the only reason I could think of for something like this in mine would be to download music and movies on the go. Is that possible here? Can you get a wireless aircard or something with internet access and download on the fly? That would be wicked. As for holding the screen in place you'll find that a load of cable ties linked together and pulled nice and tight does the trick superbly!!!
  18. May not be the best solution but mine is just normal mesh painted black. Not sure how they painted it but its been on the car a couple months and still looks black with no scuffs or colour changes!!
  19. Havent taken one out yet as its not necessary until Sept so its too soon to do it now and price may change before then - but SKY gave me the best quote so far so Ill see if anything changes in the next couple of weeks.
  20. Well it turns out that the reason for the increase is that HSBC who underwrite my policy wont insure me again this year because they still have a claim pending from when someone hit me back in april. It was a non fault claim - I was stationary at the time when the guy reversed into me and I have witnesses to confirm that. HSBC are still seeking the money from the other party but the other party havent admitted liability yet. So because the claim is still open HSBC wont insure me. Yeah it sounds bloody stupid to me too. My no claims is protected so even if it does turn out the other party refuse liability I should still be able to reinsure with HSBC???? So anyway they said they would still honour my no claims (too right since its protected) so I went to a few other companies including the ones on here and got a price similar to last years. What an absoulte joke - if HSBC dont want my money then fine! It pays to search around when you are renewing anyway!
  21. Have you got a direct line number Tim? Would be good to talk to you personally. Cheers mate!
  22. Thanks guys. The reason it bothers me so much is that the year before I was paying a lot more - then I found Kwik Fit offering it for a big discount. Now Kwik Fit have dumped me Im worried that Ill be back in the ball park I was before. Tim - Ill give you a call in a moment mate and see what you can do. Hopefully get somewhere close to what I was paying. They havent moved me over automatically, just told me what I have to pay if I stay with them which is a joke!
  23. Sorry to see you departing from the quality customs work youve been doing - I love my Dream Customz headlights and cant rate your work highly enough. Good news with the other job though mate. All the best with that!
  24. Seriously this is no joke. Last year I paid £450 for a years insurance with KwikFit which was underwritten by HSBC. In April someone reversed into me and I claimed against them. My insurance paid nothing as it was all claimed from the other party. Just got my renewal form through today and Kwik Fit have said this...word for word.... "unfortunately your current insurer will no longer cover you for the coming year so we have switched you to another company at the competitive rate of £2,080" Are they for real? Is this even allowed? Can a company dump me just because I made a claim that wasnt even my fault? Im fuming
  25. Thats the one - although mine has only one centre pipe rather then the two separates in that photo. Indeed mate it is an awesome specimen. But I can understand peoples hesitation until I get actual photos up.
