However the car will be lower by 5mm...thats quite straight forward... no percentage there....although depending on the absorbers' preload (i dont exactly know the english term for the first bit of the absorber damping which is usually a bit softer than the rest of the damping) the actual loss of height may be slightly less!

Its a combination of maths and physics.... the tacho mesures the spins of the front wheels and automatically shows the result....(the whole set up of the appliance converts it to mph) d = π x r x 2 , where π=3.14 as the distance travelled because d is the perimeter of the wheel.... and r is the radius.... if u change profile and/or rim size then the r changes.... As a result for the same number of wheel spins (thats what the tacho reads) you will be travelling less distance if you change only to lower profile because the r will decrease... the tacho will show still 100mph cos its set for a certain radius but the actual speed will be less... From 40 to 45 the difference should be.....(18inc=45.72cm) 2(40-45+45.72)πr / 2(45+45.72)πr x 100% = -6.2% So your actual speed when the tacho shows 100mph will be 93.8mph.... and you have to deduct from that the false reading from the tacho as well....(3-5mph for the 313 roadster i v got)...which then means a bit less than 90...! When you increase the width of the tyre you increase friction which means that if you only use wider tyres the car should be actually slower....in acceleration and top speed...however if u only use lower profile the whole weight of the tyre should be marginally less which means that the car should feel a bit faster.....a tiny bit.....

Also did not have the TCS come in once even when I pushed it alittle harder than usual, but then I've only had the TCS come in once before and that was in the rain and on a big roundabout The speedo won't be accurate though.... But as the RR is smaller, it will over-read, so at least its the safe way round The car's speed is limited to 155mph but the digital will go up 160 on stock 313's...guess it will show now 163! Thats something..... Get yourself a nice GPS unit. No lies there Or get clocked by the coppers....even more accurate!!!! I wouldnt be so sure! Theres plenty of room for error from them, no holding it right, not having it callibrated recently. I'd trust GPS more I think

Just ordered my GY F1 asymmetrics £115 each fronts and £145 each rears..... profile from 45 down to 40 tho..... apparently if you wanna stick with the 45 profile on 18 rims you end up paying about £80+ per corner on the ps2s...... Dont understand why.....anyway phil sent me my spacers and will send my eibach springs on monday.... should be all done and fitted by thursday.... so i ll keep you informed....

Got the new Autocar posted today and its front page.....exterior looks seem quite controversial...personally i expected a bit better..... these rims tho are i do like the interior....but it comes str8 from the infinity....its not special.....

A tad more crushy ride than before...if you had falkens before u will tell...cant c why u wud have any probs from the TCS....it cud affect active suspension systems and even that wud be minor....now if the ESP interferes 0.1sec faster i dont think u can tell.... and in overall the car was lowered by 5mm or 0.5cm or about 1/5th of an inch....which is nothing....unless u v lowered it 5cm already!!! loooool ur wheel arches will look a bit more empty now tho.... If you want to make the ride a bit more fluent use nitrogen instead of air...u will tell the difference....although hard to find smbd who does nitrogen...
