Unfortunately the time has come when my pride and joy needs to go. (Company car allowance 5 year rule ) Many of you will recognise the car as i have been a member on here for over 3 years, and been to various meets during that time. I have had the car since the 15th August 2008 and the car hasn't skipped a beat since that time. No expense has been spared maintaining the vehicle and only the Best detailing products have been used every week ( Dodo juice and Autoglym). The car has been serviced as per the nissan schedule 9k,18k,27k,36k,45k and 54k miles at WestWay nissan in Stourbridge (I purchased the car with 18000 on the clock). The 54k service was carried out on the 26/05/11. The car had new brake pads fitted 3000miles ago and new front tyres in February. Over the past 3 years i have spent £1000's on the car getting it to the way that i wanted. Most recently a Vinyl Carbon roof wrap and new rays powder coated in gloss anthracite( a Lotus colour) by Team Dynamics. The car has also undergone the ABBEY MOTORSPORT treatment and received the Uprev remap last year. The gains on paper aren't massive however the car feels completely different to drive and a lot more responsive. I was thinking of getting the car MOT'd at an independant rather than at nissan. Is there anything in particular they need to do in relation to it being a zed. I remember hearing something about a brake test on the rollers messing up the diff or something along those lines. But then again i could have made this up in one of my strange dreams Jim

Its very easy all you have to do is loosen off the black trim on the bottom of the bumper and it slides straight over. stick it in place with double sided tape or an adhesive and then tighten the black strip back up. bish bash bosh jobs a gud un

Gave the Zed abit of a clean and thought i would take some up to date pictures. Thanks to Sarah aka Chill red for sorting out my front lip wrap. Finally got it just the way i like it. Think its going to stay like this for a while now.

I run Turbo groove with red stuff pads. As supplied by CS and they are fine and probably done near enough 20kmiles and 2 trackdays. maybe its a manufacturing fault/ faulty batch?

Facelift zed with rays and 25mm spacers. Wheels sit flush with the arch. So a new one to me aswell

Right then my mrs has a punto and the power steering light keeps coming on. I've read the codes and the first 1 is : P0600 Serial Communications Link Malfunction The second code is P0093 fuel system leak (large) There doesnt appear to be any leakage or loss in performance and the steering feels fine. A garage has said it could require a new column as all the parts are integrated as it is electric not hydraulic and this would cost approx £650. (which she cant afford) Anyone have any experience with this problem on a previous car or their run around? Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Jim

i got 4 brand new rays off west way a couple of months ago. Put some rim wax on as soon as i got them and give them a good clean every week to keep them free from brake dust and salt. The bloody things will still bubble anyways i can imagine

I have a Blitz nur spec T and its the perfect sound in my opinion. Probably around the £1K mark now. Have a look at youtube and type in some of the ones people have mentioned on here. I know the sounds not great on recordings but will give you an idea.
