  1. Oh and yeah, the car should be fine with the belt cut off. Wouldn't drive around all summer though <- or this is what you will look like! Belt is a 5min job anyway
  2. yeah pretty much new belt (no more than £5), new pipe (rubber part) its quite a short peice, however you may have to buy the whole bit from nissan, or scrap yard - aka B&Q Definately the aircon pipe though Ian. You will need it regassed as its a pressurised system and the pipe you have split has one of the filling points on it, i know this, because i've just been out in the cold Kev
  3. +1. Funny to see the headquarters is in the US! Ironic isn't it!
  4. Ian, Just poped out to the car and had a look. The belt thats gone is your air-con belt (if you didn't know that already ). I'm afraid to say the pipe it has cut through is your air-con pipe too. Hence why you haven't got loads of liquid pouring out. Bet its green too!! Sorry old pal, thats guna cost you Kev
  5. Was having a little fun gunning it with a bmw beside me the other week, hit the limiter "accidently" as i was paying too much attention giving my mate (in the bmw) the bird. I have never felt such a lack of power, it just felt like i had a parachute on the back of my car, even after i shifted it took a second or so to get the power back.

    Average Mpg ?

When i first got the car i was getting around 17mpg, as the lads said if you boot it everywhere this is what you will get. however, i get about 20 now, have had 29mpg with "sub-urban" driving so it can be ok. Agree with chris though, mine has been noticably lower in the cold!! Generally its to do with density of the air and the fact the engine takes longer to warm up, obviously using more fuel, hence why you use less fuel in the summer.
  7. you dummy! Yeah they are deadly expensive from the stealers! Let me know if you're stuck for one buddy
  8. hi jamie. I have a passenger side one, but i snapped the cap when i removed it. I snapped it clean in half, will glue back together easily, if your repainting it anyway, shouldn't be a problem at all. Let me know if so, last resort kinda thing! You should have asked before Kev
  9. the Sack all the way! he will do us good. best man on the pitch! Flood is a good signing, steady player. was talking to will greenwood about him a couple of weeks ago... hahaha
  10. Football = Gayball (imo) Union is the only way to go. League is touch rugby!! Get Cipriani off that pitch!!! Useless
  11. Great pics Jay. Cool for cats that car is! Funny post this, keep talking about a credit crunch! Whats that? A Chocolate Bar?
  12. sore enough legs without that hassle. Worth it i bet! Looking forward to the vid
  13. That Jag is the absolute dogs! 2 people now
  14. Blimey Adam, how the hell did you get back on your board in that!!!
  15. Bulgaria is quite cheep and cheerfull so i have heard. Would defo recommend Italy as Adam suggests though, but not the cheepest. Went boarding to Andorra last season, was really cheep, went to Arinsal, snow was crappy (was late season) but Pal and Arcalis (two mountains next to it) had really great powder. Really quite cheep too, well somethings wern't too cheep, like medical expenses - wish i didnt break my arm now!!! lol - hence a no no to Arinsal itself, AKA the ice mountain of death!!
  16. Harsh luck mate, the main thing is that you are ok. I hope you aren't insured with the Flux btw!!! The 330cd m-sport is a really spot on car if your looking for a diesel, one of the best I have been in (my dad used to have one by the way)
  17. Just looking around the web and stumbled on this. http://www.pbase.com/rsrock/oil_catch_can Do you think this would be (nearly) as effective as a proper unit?
  18. congrats craig. How come you have to wait until feb may i ask?

    GTR V SPEC

+1!!!!!! Even the exhaust has its own little streamline bits and pieces... oh no... its happened again
  20. True for a dream there buddy. You may be alright though. If it does effect it, ill weld it back on for a jerry can of petrol!
  21. Theoretically it will effect it as you are losing back pressure, doesn't always have a great deal of effect on some cars though, doesn't really matter that much how small it is though scott, a restricion is a restriction if you know what i mean. Kind of like the same effect them cheepy universal exhausts have that saxo drivers put on instead of them pea shooters. Just keep an eye on it, just don't get too distracted by that new throaty noise you have (and all that popping) Enough of that though
  22. Glad to see someone is hitting a rebuild again, Fair bit of work there Madden. I would seriously concentrate on them side members (chassis legs) my rhs one was pushed back over an inch, and the car didn't have as harder hit as yours, you want that bit right, especially as the other half will be in the drivers seat That alloy isn't fixable though mate, would just check that tyre is sitting fully on the inside of the rim if you aren't going to replace it. As the alloy is cast magnesium alloy, it may have cracked (hairline) which isn't worth playing about with, you cant weld it either because of the material and the fact it is cast. if its sitting right and you are going to keep it then i would suggest you have it crack detected though.
