  2. here is another quick compilation of Steady Z's; Like the driveby sound, on the day I couldn't actually hear anything due to my yoke
  3. then get a nice set of pads and are you only using it on track maybe weld the diff? Get a set of slicks from Zman for your 18s would be a good investment too.
  4. saw what a hayabusa engine can do to a car weighing 600kg with driver on the last trackday (300hp) scary
  5. nurrsih when are we seeing you doing this to your new smart car?
  6. but it's not good enough to cool the oil then? or why do people upgrade them to air/oil coolers?
  7. Hi Guys, anyone know if all the Z's have the above oil cooler setup? Just looked on mine and it does have that plate and pipes. Does anyone know what way it works? Would I need to remove this setup somehow if getting a aftermarket cooler?
  8. a few months on, still like them? THinking on getting a set for Z.
  9. you talking driveby sounds or idling sounds?
  10. Did you do a pre dyno run before the exhaust? would be interesting to see what figures this might give, one guess is that it'll be loud! what other breathing mods do you have?
  11. think you posted that in the wrong thread matey
  12. Quick tip, get a length of hose about 2metres, a funnel on one end and a medium sized nozzle on the other (one from a silicone tube does the trick) pop the bonnet, then feed the pipe down through the engine bay to the gearbox filler hole, zip tie your funnel to the bonnet catch & fill away **ANDERS LIKE THIS TIP***
  13. IM ON IT! http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/do-yo ... -also.html Off to LIDL now to get myself setup for welding
  14. What type of coolers are there on the market for the Z? Wouldnt dare to think how hot it does get, neither how hot the engine oil gets either. Can you price me up a diff (Quaife & Cooler kit?) Cheers A (there goes the Christmas presents... )
  15. Got some redline for my box too, must say that I think it's a bit clunky when cold but once warmed up 100% spot on, thinking on getting nissan oem oil for my next swapout and think Zman recommended to use some other stuff in the box might give that a go. FOLLOWUP on this comment, after a very hard few laps around track the other day my gearbox starting making the whine noise when I tried to downshift from 3rd to 2nd without revmatching 100% (finding that hard sometimes...) will order myself a nissan oil today and get that changed during the week!
  16. watching the speed you do on the track I bet it drinks it like there was NO tomorrow!
  17. from looking at the my350z forum it looks to be the best option...
  18. Dave, Bill and Steve Three more! Not something I've looked into but there are a few UK cars with aftermarket diffs fitted. Something that might be answered better in the US as a lot of their cars don't have an LSD as far as know. dont get the name stuff Mmm might stick one up, only thing is there it gets a bit heated very quickly
  19. wow got two names nothing esle To be honest don't think Nismo is the way since I'd need to get a standard nissan 350z lsd first and then swap in the nismo stuff, also heard it eats the clutch/flywheel... Think Quaife is the way for me but want to hear some other routes and also WHY I should not get one
