  1. Thanks guys, I was one of the lucky winners and really looking forward to getting it fitted. Much appreciated, G
  2. Make my day! - The last time I won a prize was in 1986 in a raffle in Italy and it was too big to fit on the plane to take home. It was cr@p anyway!
  3. I thought Nismo was a great name....... but I might not be the most qualified at picking dogs names; my bitch has been running around for the last 9 years answering to 'Elvis'. No wonder she's feck!n mental!
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, I've never heard of tint spray? - Is it effective, difficult to do and do you know where I could get some? Cheers, G
  5. Hi Gaz, It's a 2006/56 296bhp facelift. I spoke to Sarah last week about this and she only had the originals in stock, I hadn't realised you guys were both part of Envy. Cheers, G
  6. Thanks Cragus, I've spoken to Sarah but unfortunately she doesn't have any; I'll do a search and see if I can get in touch with Gaz. Thanks again, G
  7. Hey, Do any of you guys have any idea where I can get replacement front bumber reflectors? - I've got the standard orange reflectors at the moment but fancy a change to either black or white. Any suggestions as to where I could get these would be gratefully received. Cheers, G
  8. Hey, Does anyone have any experience in transferring Australia No claims Bonus to here in the UK? - If so, is it easy enough to do and will the discount be applied here? Also, I hear that any foreign national here has to change their driving licence after a certain amount of time of being a resident (6 months I think?). From an insurance point of view, will this mean that it looks like the licence has only been held since the date of change over or is the licence held from the date a test was passed in the original country. Any thoughts on the above would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, G
  9. I'm heading to Germany and Austria over Xmas and need to get SatNav for my iphone, can anyone recommend one that's not too expensive? - I've got SatNav in my own car but I'll be in a hire car and don't wanna waste too much cash unnecessarily. I had Tom Tom on my N95before some scumbag nicked the phone, I've still got the disc but I don't think that's much use to me now. Any recommendations or suggestions would be most welcome, Cheers, G
  10. My car is 3 years old next week and was at the Nissan dealer today with the same problem; hopefully I'll get a replacement set like some of the other guys here have had.
  11. Hey Dan I've been thinking of removing my badges, possibly gonna replace them but unsure how it'll look; I noticed that your car was black too, is there any chance you could post some pics once it's done? Cheers, Gordon
  12. Having read all of the posts on this, it sounds like the driver of the Mustang was asking for trouble; I hate to see that happen to anyone's car but I'm glad to see he didn't hit anyone else. I've approached that hairpin before and was about to turn in when a numptie has slid past me on the inside with four wheels locked up, not a pleasant experience. That particular idiot was lucky enough not to hit me and not to end up on is roof but it ended his day.
  13. LOL - Excellent. For a small car I'd always recommend the best Honda Civic you can get for your budget, good to drive and utterly reliable. I got one for my g/f and she loves it.
  14. Thanks Martin, looks good. Are you happy with how they look? I assume the badge in the picture is the darkest version?
  15. I've got a black 2006/56 facelift Zed and quite fancy removing the front and rear Nissan badges and replacing them but unsure what with, I've seen a few 'Z' options which look good on the Envy website but dunno what colour would look best on a black car? - Does anyone have any pics of these on a black car? - I thought the dark ones would maybe look good buy don't know if they'd be visible? Also, I wouldn't mind replacing the orange bumper reflectors with something black or smoked, does anyone know where I can get these and how easy/difficult it is to fit them? - Also, if you have any pics of these I'd appreciate a look. I'm gonna put on some dark wheels and ultimately would like the rest of the car to be sleek and have no other colour on it, it's currently standard with Rays. Cheers, G
  16. I get my car serviced at Hypertech in Bonnybridge and can thoroughly recommend them, Bonnybridge is not too far from you if you're in Glasgow. It's Certainly a lot closer than Edinburgh and you Excellent service and the guy who owns it, Duncan, is real enthusiast. They are Japanese performance specialists and myself and other members of my family who have Japanese cars have been going there for over 10 years now. Hope this is of some help to you? G
  17. Nice to see the Evo Zed has gone to a good home; reading about this car was one of the reasons I wanted to buy a Zed in the first place.
  18. Dave, It seems like you've had a tough day but I can assure you your efforts were not in vain and are much appreciated! Looking forward to seeing your project take shape. Cheers, G
  19. I couldn't really watch it as the guy with the beard really annoyed me; he seems to fancy himself as a comedian but he is about as funny as a fart in a space suit.
  20. Cool, thanks very much guys. I'll get onto it. G
  21. Hi, 'My mate' has a potential issue in that he has a Limited Company and carries out IT Contracts, on Thursday last week he signed a contract to provide a service from 26th October, the contract has not been counter signed by the agency as Credit and Criminal History checks are ongoing. The problem he is facing that he has potentially had a better offer elsewhere, so is the contract signed legally binding since it's not been counter signed and not started yet? I appreciate all contracts are different but if you know how he might stand here I'm sure he'd appreciate it. Incidentally, there appears to be no notice period clause on the side of the contractor. Thanks, G
  22. Hi and welcome, Firstly, don't be put off if you messed your pants when coming out of a roundabout in the wet; be happy you got away with it! Secondly, if you drive a powerful rear wheel drive car and not had this sensation of of seeing your back end out your side window you are a ladyboy! (apologies to the pc brigade) I previously had a Porsche and for the first few weeks saw it try to swap ends regularly but I progressively learned what it could do which stood me in great stead for the Zed. My advice to a new owner would be: Firstly, treat your accelerator like a tap and apply it gently; it's not a button that should be pushed on and off. Secondly, if you are gonna put your foot down, make sure you're going in a straight line and more specifically, it's dry. Thirdly, once you've got a feel for both of the above play 'till your heart's content but always treat it with respect. Enjoy your Zed! G
