  1. Good luck with the viewing. Personally i'd get a GT as its easier to sell later on imho
  2. Hi all, i've decided to sell my DVD head unit with motorised screen. Its been in its box for well over a year and needs to go to a good home This cost around £1800 when new but i'm letting it go for £300 complete with a fascia surround that will fit the facelift 06+ zed. Pick up preferred but can deliver at extra cost. It is in perfect condition!! Had this professionally fitted in my type r, and was removed 8 months later when i part ex'd the car for the Zed. Never got round to fitting it, and now it needs to go as i've lost interest in sound systems (getting too old apparently) As fitted to my type r with center channel speaker below Anyway it comes fully boxed and with all manuals, and more importantly all wiring, including the "brain" module and a separate Ai-net cable that is ideal for an ai-net compatible alpine amp. You will need the correct wiring connections for your zed!! If you do a google search for this head unit it will give you all the info you need to know, as its too much too list here!! This has a 50w x 4 output and 3 RCA outs. To make the most of this dvd player though, a good 5.1 surround sound system will bring out the best in it. I have an Alpine MRA-D550 5.1 amp for sale as well this was over £500 new but asking £150. With the Ai-net cable this is a simple connection to the "brain" and you can daisy chain sub amps to this as well. The amp powers front and rear speakers and also a center channel speaker that will fit in the double din aperture below the head unit. Had this set up in my type r and it looked really good and suprisingly stealth. I still have the single din center channel speaker (and thats £50 plus delivery. If you need any more info and pics let me know and i'll sort it out. Cheers. The head unit has been sold but the other bits are still available, got a few interested parties but nothing definite just yet.
  3. Steve from another Steve in S.Wales Not the best place to buy a Zed from as they have had some very bad reports, but just take someone with a bit of knowledge along with you when you do the final deal to make sure the car is up to scratch. As for the wheels you are asking them to put 17" jdm's on, replacing the 18" standard alloys? Your decision, if that is what you like, but you are basically downgrading!!! If the tyres have more tread on the 17's then go for it. The added benefit is the 17" tyres will be cheaper to replace. If you plan to upgrade the wheels anyway then go for the ones with more tread. If you need a second opinion, i am available to view the car with you if that would help.
  4. to this side of the pond
  5. Now thats a really good price and worth every penny. Good luck with the sale
  6. Don't get me wrong Nic, i've got nothing against imports but when his car has been altered to look like a UK car then that sets alarm bells ringing. I can't see any money advantage by fitting UK bumpers other than they were fitted (in this country) due to accident damage. Maybe worth getting a vehicle inspection on this car, and if all ok at least it puts your mind at rest. What would people say was the price difference on an import compared to a UK car, £1000 maybe???
  7. Don't put anything less than 98 ron in your car. Its a sports car with a big engine, so don't compromise. The biggest and obvious difference is no cruise or bluetooth, which means no buttons on the steering wheel.
  8. Also, without cruise its not a GT so that should be enough for them to have to take the car back.
  9. Just read through this thread, what a bummer mate. I,ve seen loads of import 350z's falsely advertised as UK. In fact i don't know if thats the same garage, but i fired an email to them the other day asking why they advertised the car with cruise when you could see clearly that it didn't have any buttons on the steering wheel. Also had UK bumpers so it was very difficult for a newbie to tell the difference. Anyway had an email back saying that they made a mistake about advertising it with cruise and said its sold now. These garages should know better and shouldn't get away with it. The trouble with your car is, its had a lot of work done to it and you don't know if its been in an accident. There's no real reason to change the bumpers to UK spec unless its been brought over to this country as a damaged repairable Did you get the service history book? I doubt it, but if you did it should show that its not a uk model. If it does say its UK then i would check its authenticity as its quite easy to get hold of these books and put false info in them. (This would be perfect ammo against the garage) Whatever happens though, kick up enough fuss and threaten them with trading standards etc, they should take the car back. Good luck
  10. Hey Jarvis, i've been round the "ring" with GT4Zed and can vouch for the abilities of that set up
  11. Good luck with the search. Obviously you can't directly advertise your car on here as you haven't reached 50 posts!! But if you have it for sale elsewhere then i'm sure you can put a link up so that others can see what you have.
  12. I wouldn't bother upgrading the rear speakers, you are best off spending the money on a good set of front speakers. Also a seperate amp to power the speakers will make a massive improvement over standard.
  13. Wouldn't touch anything by EBC with a barge pole Get ferodo DS2500 for peace of mind.
  14. Give Nrenz123 a pm he was looking to swap his alezean for black, if i remember correctly. I did a swap back in the summer and swapped handbrake and steering wheel also. Not that difficult a job.
  15. Some nice cars there the first one i do love a lot even though its an import. The last one is definitely an import and how the dealer can say it has full uk service history is beyond me Oh and
  16. Yep sure was, but just cant keep up with you
