How very strange - a trader appears trying to sell wheels without first contacting the team to discuss trading on the website, that post being subsequently removed pending trader adhering to the trading T's & C's. Then hey presto a few days later, a user appears singing the praises of that very same trader. And all from the same subnet of IP addresses. Now what are the chances of that. Not impressed.

The bike won by default as the car had an "off" at 108mph on his flying lap. As the car had done a warm up lap only 4s slower than the bikes fast lap, my money would have been on the car. -

The bank looked a lot steeper than it was. We parked more across it than straight down it so it wasnt a problem. The drifting was great as usual, and on the time attack there were some incredibly fast machines - there was a Sierra Cosworth that went like a rocket on the straights. -

Yes terrible problem with the camera - sorry Rob. Never got a decent shot of you as you wanted during the whole day Ill post them up when I get home today. It was a great show, the spot was great, right next to our friends in the GTROC, and just next to the bank where everyone was positioned to watch the drifting. I dont think the Z's on the stand had a break of two minutes from people taking pics all day Sorry we didnt get to chat Mazz, I gather you had to return ready for work Will catch up at the next one The supercars that arrived were quite impressive - though I have to say the colours chosen for the vinyl wraps were a bit gash. Mat black just does not look right on an F430 spider. As for the gold on the Veyron. Seriously. Thats the millionaire equivalent of wearing the biggest chunk of elizabeth Duke you can muster. Nice car all the same, but I agreed with the commentary box - it cant buy taste. I think we all came away with a touch of sunburn, and with the exception of a couple of spots of rain which never amounted to much, the weather was fantastic all day. Thanks to Rob for the organisation, and looking forward to the next one -

Not to worry Rob, it was a last minute decision and we didnt know what time we would be able to set off - and with the storm we drove through it slowed us down. Only just got to the hotel at Dartford now. -

Early You want to see what time Im setting off from Chestrfield to get there for 8.30.... Mind you - isnt 8.30 cutting it a bit fine for the 9am cut off?? Should we get stuck in any queue to get in we could find ourselves stuffed. Wouldnt 8.00 be better? -

The camber looks mad on the rear, thats got to be rubbing the inside edges to hell.
-
That does sound good especially as they can get into the rear arch area where the double skin is - this has been an issue before.

Just to add, Ive removed the jokes thread on this subject, its not really the kind of thing we should have on the forum within 24 hours of the guys death. Whatever peoples opinions on the man, he has died leaving three children and a lot of grieving family behind. Hearing some of the Jackson songs on the radio again and waching the performances on stage is good though. Another case of we dont know what weve got until its gone, Im sure his influence on music will be missed.

I am sad Ill never be able to see him perform, but to be fair he was past his best by the time I was old enough to attend a concert anyway. It is certainly a memorable event. The gutted feeling is because a legend has died, part of the fixture and fittings of our generations pop music world.
-
I was going to get tickets for Tracy and Myself, but we both thought that either ill health or some other issue would cause disrution to this. Given his state, there was no way he would have managed 3 nights+ a week for several months with onl a few small breaks. Sadly it seems nobody will see him perform again now. Very circus like life he has had, as he was never anything other than a star and had no "memory" of normal as far as I can imagine - but there was no denying his music talent and popularity. One of the largst music stars to walk the planet since elvis, maddona and the beatles imho.

sounds good bud, looking forward to hearing more My post may have been a bit confusing. The gallery is live now, its not dependent on the "garage" addition. If you go to your user control panel (link on the left under the forum logo), you can create your gallery now - and the photo icon will appear under your signature just like on mine... down here. | | | v

I have been looking at a "garage" addition which would allow for this kind of thing, but its not fully developed yet. Each member can use their own gallery to host pics of their own car. When you have created your own gallery, a little camera icon appears under your signature, next to the email link. This allows anyone to click and see your gallery straight from any of your posts

NISMO Style Rear Spats by Shine Auto ** SOLD**
Chesterfield replied to austin350z's topic in For Sale
I dont think you can ask for a fairer set of guys to deal with than that. For them to offer refunds down the chain after no pm but a post such as that is quite generous of them imho. A little courtesy often goes a long way in circumstances such as this. Hopefully this one can be resolved to everyones satisfaction. -
Why do alot of people hate diesel run cars?
Chesterfield replied to Zedrush's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Thats a drawback of running diesel daily. Ive lost count of the times thats happened to me. Then it gets on the steering wheel and stinks the car out. I think Ill invest in a few loose plastic gloves for the next one - its too late for this car. -

Pah, If I put in false claims to an employer I would have been sacked and most likely prosecuted for fraud or theft or both. They do the very same thing and get off scott free by saying "oops sorry it was a mistake, Ill pay it back". What sort of two faced system are we running here. If I provided myself with a TV through work and used it for anything other than work related business, then it would be classes as a benefit in kind, and be subject to tax. Yet they seem perfectly able to claim for all sorts of items which are obviously going to be used as personal items at a second home and they are not classed as benefits, or taxed. Its a bloody joke. Mind you it shows just what a shambles of a tax system we have when the man running the show has to pay for an accountant to do his own return. (yet the rules state you arent allowed to claim expenses for accountacy fees in relation to your own affairs) Yet he expects small businesses owners to do their own (or pay for it out of their own pocket), do their corporation tax returns, and if they dont have the funds in on time they impose fines! Yet these muppets can get expenses wrong for years without any fines or charges what so ever. Makes my blood boil /rant -

And if its for company use, you also need to factor in the difference in benefit in kind when comparing the diesel to the petrol. This is where there is an advantage over petrol cars, as the system is emissions based. Though shortly, thanks to Mr Darling, the gap starts to close again due to the emissions escalator on company car taxes. Along with the new writing down rules for cars purchased outright by a company, the whole thing becomes even more complex.
