Dont get me wrong Husky, this is not aimed at you personally, I appreciate that you tried to help me as much as possible, and I dare say that were you in a position at the company to prevent service like this, then I would not hold such contempt for Jaguar and Hatfields as it would have been sorted. Sadly as is often the case, the people tha have the customer focus that would see a company shine are not given the opportunity to make it happen. You are not even involved in the area of customer service, yet you appear to have a greater understanding of it than the MD. That is quite simply wrong. The most important person in ANY business is the customer. You get it, others get it, but the MD and the customer service department dont ? The Customer Service director of the dealership actually said, and Im quoting to the best of my recolectin here "I fail to understand why you feel you should be compensated". He fails to understand why a customer (our business) after spending nearly £100k, and having both brand new vehicles repaired twice, would feel they are owed some form of compensation. And he is a Customer Service director? Again, dont take it personaly Husky, its not you but the Company (and dealership) as a whole that I am directing my anger at, specifically the heads of each whose reponsibility it is to ensure customers like myself with such negative views are not created. Anyway - about the drifting of the XF, Never done it in mine, although I did get the tyres squealing once even though I had the traction control on. I didnt think the car woul let the whels spin with the TC on, especially on dry tarmac, but a sharp take off from the lights did just that. The XF is a mighty heavy car to drift with I would have thought.

A moderator can't lock their own threads (well they technically can, but its something we try to avoid). This one will porbably end up in the green room.

If my company provides a service to a customer that is below that of which myself or my brother has said will be provided then I will personally speak to that customer to resolve the issue. Our company has refunded customers in full for any losses occuring due to negligence that wasnt even ours, and we have even had directors of suppliers we market for personally visit customers to refund monies as little as £50 when they have caused customers to lose out. What I don't do is provide my clients with markeing material stating one thing, provide something totally different and then have the audacity, nay bare faced cheek to not even respond in person. We specifically have a section of this forum where people can air their disatisfaction about particular suppliers and or dealerships. This is done not only so other customers can be warned, but so those dealerships in question may see the error of their ways and resolve the problems, restoring their reputation. There are numerous threads on here where people have been far from complimentary about Nissan, take Martins roof woes threads for example. I have tried airing my issues on Jaguar forums, but unfortunately negative responses about the XF on a Jaguar forum will see you baned and the posts removed within the blink of an eye. Oh and the last company I worked for did **** people off. The employees. They asked us as managers to tell the staff one thing but behind closed doors were secretly saying another (relating to performance reviews). I was not prepared to lie to staff that I considered friends, so I did leave. I forefeited over £15k in redundancy for the sake of my principals along the way. If I read something written by a director of a company, I expect them to stand behind it. Childish thing to say? Tell you what - you spend nigh on 100 grand of your own money to be treated worse than if you bought a toaster, and then see what you feel like writing when someone posts up about that product? You posted about a Jag on the 350Z other cars section and I posted my reply. Feel free to post about your 350z woes on the Jaguar forum. Perhaps your annoyance at my responses to these Jaguar threads gives you some understanding on just how the vast majority ofthe team felt when having to clear up 8 billion off topic posts resulting in the cretion of the green room in the first place? I havent singled you out as a bad egg at Jaguar, I have singled out the MD as not having the backbone to address this problem personally even though I wrote to him personally, and Ive singled out the dealership as providing totally pathetic service that is not in line with the Jaguar MD's words on the marketing material. It appears nobody with the authority to do anything about this at Jaguar seems remotely interested in doing so. That in itself is a recipie for failure whether I wish it or not. If anyone at Jaguar is that bothered about little old me writing about my experiences on the internet and giving a negative review to anyone who ever asks me about the car in person thanks to the service given to me by Hatfields, whom Jaguar deem fit to sell their products, then perhaps they could dig out my address from what will no doubt be a big file they have on me in customer service and write to me asking what they can do to change my opinion. That however would require an element of customer focus to be rattling around somewhere.

The XFR is on paper a great car. As is the XF to be honest, but in my opinion, and that of my brothers, the service and support from Jaguar and certainly the dealership we dealt with is absolute crap. These are premium price vehicles, and I felt like I was dealing with a backstreet garage. When I first raised issues, Jaguars response to the fact I had a faulty vehicle (two including my brothers) was very much "your contract of sale is with the dealership - bye". The litterature from Jaguar advised that they were of a quality that other marques could only aspire to... Hmm, a very bold claim given our service level. We spend almost £100k in cash with that dealership, had one car on an AA truck twice in less than two hours worth of driving time, and another that required partial respray and a polish during an inspection - and what have we got from Jaguar or Hatfields in return? Not so much as a bloody air freshener.. First and last Jaguar Land Rover vehicle I shall ever buy. Im sure as time goes on Ill mellow about the whole Jag situation, but for now they get both barrells any time they are mentioned

Not entitled to an opinion on the other thread? Jaguar suck - plain and simple. Their customer service is abysmal, the quality of the TWO cars we purchased is the worst of any we have owned - and the litterature to which the MD puts his name telling us about just what a privelidged ownership experience we will get is nothing short of bare faced LIES in my opinion. The car may drift well, but so do many other cars from manufacturers that actually give a toss about their customers. Bearing in mind that this site ranks number one on google for many searches not even remotely connected to the 350Z, and receive probably more visits than Jaguars own site, Im quite happy to respond to any Jaguar post with my personal view of their service and their cars. Eventually this site will start ranking high when people are searching for Jaguar XF material, which will suit me down to the ground. My local BMW garage had to chuckle to themselves when I relayed the story about our two Jaguars to them. I have actually given them permission to pass my contact details as an XF owner onto anyone who states they are considering a Jaguar instead of their BMW. If Jaguar / Hatfields dont want to spend a single penny compensating me for two shoddy vehicles and the fact I had to spend over £500 on solicitors costs for them to still deny that the vehicle was defective, then I shall meter my own justice by ensuring as many people hear about my experience and form their own opinions as possible.
  6. Unfortunately thats a software glitch at present. The set up should be that only the initial advert requires approval, replies should not - however at present the software has a glitch which causes everything in a new topic there to be approved. A fix is in the pipeline for this.
  7. Any more want to add to the list? Its a great chance to meet up with other owners and those owners of other models too

Yes - when we were told the benches werent in use today, and I saw the Jaguar sign, I did think to myself "very much like the brains of those in Jaguars customer care department". The signs were probably left over byJaguar from aprevious event and not collected. Just like when someone has a problem with the car, its always someone elses responsibility to deal with it - guess it was the same for the sign collection On a side note, Im actually modifying my XF, Im going to use a labeller to make a nice sentence on my number plate utilising the "Hatfields" word that is on my plate. Im thinking of having a vinyl "DO NOT BUY AN" above the xf logo on my car. I actually toyed with the idea of having some incredibly large vinyls for the side made up slating Jaguar and Hatfields, but then decided I couldn't be arsed as people will find out soon enough just how crap they are when they buy one. Came bottom of its class in a survey in the US for reliability. I notice Jaguar didnt bang on about that particular accolade in its TV advert.
  9. Martin, Is there an up to date list of attendees from here? Any others whish to add their names to the list? Its set to be a great weekend

Surprised they lasted without bits coming off or the nice "restricted performance" message appearing every lap. Though of course they will be "show" cars put through the factory, the customers who actually pay for their vehicles are given the regular shite build quality and service. Ill never touch Jaguar ever again, and cant wait until the next 18 months are over and I can justifiably get rid of the two we bought. Every single time anyone ever says "nice car" when I park it up, I make damned sure that within the next 30 seconds they have the same opinion of Jaguar as myself. Nice to look at, but Ive had better service from Comet after suffering issues with a £20 toaster. Quite frankly I hope to God they find themselves in another financial "situation" and TATA wind them up. Customer service that they provide deserves no part in the UK, and although it will probably mean a fair few job losses, I believe the UK as a whole would be better without such pathetic service within its borders. The fact they decided to have another go at fixing my vehicle when it was sent for "inspection", then wrote back to my solicitor stating that the car was fine, was the last straw. They have effectively resprayed and repolished TWICE a brand new vehicle costing in excess of £40,000, and the customer hasnt been given so much as an air freshner in compensation. Oh and weve had faults with the other one too that have resulted in the customer (my brother) being given chuff all too. Hardly the actions of a company that wishes to pass themselves off as a prestigious brand. The MD is all to happy to put his name to letters and marketing material advising that the experience you will get as a Jaguar customer will be top notch, but write to him with details of problems and he cant even be bothered to write back personally. Says it all really. If anyone wants my reccomendation - DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A JAGUAR, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
  11. Great to meet everyone today, thanks for coming. I was shattered after getting up at 5. Needed a nap when I got home hope everyone had a good time still can't believe we got evicted from a frigging bench! A bench! Sorry, these benches aren't in use... Well excuuuuse me, but the fact that the only thing preventing my ample derrier from being in contact with planet earth is this bench, suggests to me that you will find it IS in use. A frigging bench! Congratulations craig, very well deserved it's a credit to you as always!
  12. Tracy is driving the lawn mower tomorrow, so Im on my todd.
  13. Tickets all coupled with the car entry forms ready to go now Flags packed, cleaning gear packed, money for bacon butties packed, postcode for satnave ready. 1 sleep to go
  14. I once called direct line and advised I had uprated brakes, and they asked "what are uprated brakes?". Time to move insurer. I do reccommend advising of all mods though. Anything not declared gives an insurer reason to walk away from a policy
  15. Sorry Mitch, my mistake, you do have a ticket and stand pass - just requested the details for it via pm, but Ill take my marker pen so we can fill it out in the morning if you dont get this tonight. There have been a couple of other people request the option to purchase the spare tickets for a +1 already, so they will have the opportunity to buy the two remaining tickets first if we dont get any last minute car entries. The +1 tickets are available on the gate in case. Will be sending a PM with my mobile to everyone now so they can contact me should they not be there to collect the tickes at the meeting point around 8am tomorrow
  16. Another bump for the two remaining tickets.... If there are no takes by the time I set off tomorrow morning, then the previous people who asked on this thread to buy for the +1's can have first refusal on a purchase that will save them a bit of money.
  17. Hi - see the post on the meets thread, there is space on the club stand for the car too if you like Welcome to the club
  18. Its on the thread above - garden centre at 8am. Are you bringing the Z? if so you can put it on the stand..
  19. bump So now we have two spare tickets for the day, one from scott and one from nurrish... Any last minute takers for the two tickets. Meeting at 8am, at Tarporley Garden Center (CW6 9EE) tomorrow.
  20. As we have had a couple of last minute drop outs, the club now has two spare tickets to the Modified Live show at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday 24th April. viewtopic.php?f=57&t=33404 First two people to claim the tickets on the thread above (priority goes to people who will be bringing a 350Z to the show stand) will get them. If no car owners take these, they will then be offered for sale to the people bringing +1's, and then after that sold on the gate to recoup the funds that the club will otherwise have wasted. Get in quick!
  21. So now we have two spare tickets for the day, one from scott and one from nurrish... Any last minute takers for the two tickets. Meeting at 8am, at Tarporley Garden Center (CW6 9EE) tomorrow.
  22. Probably not the only one that thought of it, but certainly the only one that will admit it
