  1. Having seen what that supernatural wax did on your car and on mine, Im thinking of testing it on the mower yes
  2. I have some within my collection of photos from the weekend Martin - will get the original sized ones to you. Ill try and sort mine out tonight, but got quite a bit on after work today.
  3. Hope the weather keeps up. Anyway, a few were asking at Wales when the next show/event was - here it is
  4. The car park the next morning was very much along the lines of "Im Sparticus" !
  5. You need your foot on the brake if I recall. It wont work otherwise. The car will put the windows down itself when pressing the button.
  6. They are solid brick walls between rooms at Moreton! Not a bad achievement to wake people up through those!
  7. Weather is great! We are awaiting the return of the Saturday runners....
  8. If its all about encouragement, and not the actual money generated from them - why bother spending £100k on four vans worth of cameras and not just a couple of grand or so wrapping them in bright yellow? Its all about revenue generation and we know it - they just havent got the brass tacks to admit it or there would be a revolt. Put it this way, its cost £28k per van to do this. Im guessing that the money has to be repaid from a budget. That budget would not stand for just four vans to have cost £100k+ on upgrades, so it needs to be subsidised... Guess where thats coming from. Do these speed camera partnerships think we are actual morons and we havent got the brains to figure out whats going on here?
  9. Hoping to maybe get time to give mine a clean today before we set off...
  10. Hmm - that just puts ideas in my head
  11. Like any projector, quality during the day is somewhat reduced. The higher the lumens output of the projector, the easier it is to overcome this to some degree, however as screens are grey or white, then ambient light will completely screw the contrast of the picture leaving it washed out regardless of projector. (look at pubs using projectors for football matches during the day) Not really that much of an issue for me as it will mostly be used during the evenings. Though in summer that still means it is fairly light outside and blocking the light will be necessary. I plan on having a pull down blackout blind behind the screen on the window itself to completely darken the room when needed.
  12. Yup - Ill give it to JLR, they are certainly starting to make cars that look good.
  13. Probably just forgot to put the bits in to make it 4wd Certainly looks different, but I cant help think it will be hugely impractical in the back. It will no doubt be driven by housewives to do the shopping, but with no rear doors, they are going to find it a struggle to load. I guess its the JLR answer to the X6.
  14. Thread tidied - sorry there may have been some content in some posts that was on topic, but accompanied with the refferences to previous OT posts, they wouldn't have made sense.... Anyway... Please can we keep this to chat about the stickers. As far as merchandising goes for the club, our view is quite simple. All use of our logo and club name is advertising for the club, if someone makes up the odd custom item with the club name on it then we aren't going to ask for a traders fee or donation. If it turns into several items, or a bespoke run of something, then donations are welcome, if it is going to be run as a business selling to club members on a regular basis then the appropriate traders fee will apply. When it comes to show plates, jackets, stickers, slam panels, t-shirts etc we are very proud that people would want to display our club logo in this way. Obviously there is an infinite number of ways that people could show off the logo, and as we only have finite resources, we have to pick and choose the items we sell direct from the club very carefuly as the set up costs can often be quite large. The popularity of these bespoke member generated items acts as good information for the team when we are looking at the range of items we sell via our own merchandising and sourcing a supplier for such items.
  15. The crocs are the bosses (painter) as is the hoover The blue isnt as bold as the photos make out, its a dark matt called "dramatic". The flash makes it appear much brighter. Funny you should mention Avatar Matt, Ive just watched it on mine - Absolutely brilliant as far as picture and sound go, the plot however became about as unpredictable as Titanic after the first half hour. Still, its a reference grade film for sound and visual displays on the home cinema.
  16. I treated myself to a new hd projector for mine too, its a JVC HD750 DLA. Once Ive tidied away all bits and bobs, Im sure I can think of other man cave parephenalia to fill it with. Arcade machine and one armed bandit probably, though I think Tracy may go a bit nuts!
  17. One is quite enough, its the BK Monolith. It'll do 102db at 20hz. Right - off home to move that beer fridge in The cinema couch is going to be in there - or a few of the lazy boy style recliner ones with drinks chillers in the arms.
  18. Already have a nice Stella beer fridge, it will be making the journey in there tonight I think Guitar hero is excellent fun. Dont knock it till youve tried it
  19. Well, Im now finally nearing completion of my new man room. Its been a steady job over a few evenings and fitting it in between weekends away etc, but the time is nearig when a cold beer in front of a film or footy match beckons.... I didnt start taking photos until a few days after we had started, so Ive dug out the only before photo I have, which is a bit small and from the sale brochure of the house. Mike loved taking the proverbial out of me for my lovely pink man room.... it was a case of out with the old furniture, off with the wall paper, off with the skirting, down with the curtains and blinds and disconnect the radiator, also we had to remove a sink and associated pipework. It was then apparent that simply painting the walls was not going to work, as the quality of them behind the wallpaper was not up to simple filling and painting, so it was a case of having these plastered, along with the artex ceiling being flatened by skimming over too. Tok the opportunity to bury some cables for speakers too. We (Tracy) also decided that the old recess left behind from some fitted wardrobes would make a nice AV and CD/Bluray storage area, so I began work on my cupboard too... Next was time for the unercoat of all walls. After that, construction and planning of the cabling for the cupboard was next.... It was during this phase that we hit a rather annoying stumbling block, which in hindsight I should have easily avoided by a bit more planning. Upon attempting to drill through the top of the "cupboard" into the loft space ready for my AV and network cables, I found that unlike the rest of the ceiling, it wasnt just plasterboard and joists. Oh no. There is a nice 18" thick concrete lintel above the cupboard space... Hmmm... A solution presented itself. use the gap in the wall left by the pipes we removed for the sink. Genius! Not so. While removing the last stubs of pipes that were in this hole from the loft, I managed to remove a rather large area of plasterwork from the fresh new walls. This did not go down well with the foreman. So a quick patch up was needed... You can hardly tell can you? - Go on gues where it is..... Anyway - hurdle overcome, cupboard and plaster all now fixed, along with the new skirting board too.. Then the colour can be added. What better way to be rid of the girly pink in my man room that wth boyish blue! A carpet later and I can start moving my kit back in Still a bit of unpacking to do, and waiting on the glass shelves for the cupboard so I can sit everything in its propper place, but the room is nearly done: The boss thinks I may have overdone it with the subwoofer, but my theory was, I can turn a big one down - get one too small and I cant make it louder... The last few bits remaining are trim round the cupboard, shelves for it, removing the wooden tv unit and replacing with a radiator cover in black with the centre speaker integrated and sorting out a door for the large cupboard and rehoming the sub into it.. But for now Im back online with the xbox, and cant start to watch a few of the BR films Ive been putting off..
  20. Im still astonished a Nissan dealer would put the car on a rolling road for an MOT brake test... Seriously wtf?..
  21. If China, North Korea, the US and no doubt Britain get involved in conflict, we may as well all pack up and go home, before its not there any more.
  22. Send Mike a PM and the sticker will be yours
  23. Does anyone know where I may be able to find a comprehensive spreadsheet of all cars makes and models CO2 emissions? Im not looking for a calculator or web site that you enter your make and model for the result, I want the raw data that would power such a website. Thanks in advance if anyone knows where I can find this
  24. Finally finished my man cave to the state where I can play games again - this looks quite good. Im thinking of getting red dead redemption soon too.
