  1. Apparently she hasnt worn makeup since the age of 21. No big surprise, it must have been costing a bloody fortune to cover that up. I reckon if you can dig out Boots share prices from the time, you'll see the dip.
  2. Doing a search on google, it looks as though this technology is available, but the whole thing sounds rather dubious to me. A phone can obviously be located by triangulating its position, but would this not require access to raw data from phone masts? Who is going to give joe public access to that? Also, do the masts even record the data that would allow a phone to be triangulated? Very curious to see whether this is true or not, and I would certainly be interested in such technology, or paying to access such technology, as every now and then I would like to check up on people throwing sickies from work
  3. email the large version to me and Ill host it for download. chesterfield@350z-uk.com
  4. Yup I cant bear getting up at the ungodly hour I would need to in order to make it for that time if I were setting off from here - so you'll find me having a few beers at the Holiday Inn on Saturday night.
  5. It will though, they want to aim for a minimum profit level on the deal overall. If they can get £1k of that from the finance deal, they can afford to give more away on the values of the cars. If the finance is a no go, they want to make more money out of the cars themselves. When buying the two cars we did for the office, we screwed a great deal out of the dealers on the price for two new cars, (knocked a Seat Altea FR with loads of options down from £19200ish to £15700 ish). Strangely enough when I then started to try and get a higher part ex value or little other extras I almost got chucked out
  6. But what dan says is true, they seem to take longer to shift in Non GT form, unless of course you are selling to someone who knows all the above, like members of this forum etc. If I had known when buying my first Z that I could have a leather re-trim like yours Val for as little as £500 and stuck a normal double Din unit in for another couple of hundred or so, I would certainly have passed on the GT pack and saved myself some dosh. But thats why I went for GT over non GT, as I didnt know at the time. Hence why I suppose the GTs will shift quicker off a forecourt.
  7. I was hoping for a poll You only need to upload the image under 6kb if you want to store it on this site, you can link to an external image over 6kb, just dont go daft with the physical size - 100x100 maybe.
  8. To give you some idea, I got a GT4 for that money with about 1k less on the clock. (Nissan dealer again) They did shift quite some way on the trade in on my other Z though, so there should certainly be some wiggle room in that price.
  9. One from an email? Cant remember a form for liability on the parade lap, although Im sure I must have had one in my pack or been told about it before. Is there, or can there be a checklist for people such as me ( ) to check off that they have completed/submitted everything necessary?
  10. I think buying a lambo brand new shows a person has that much money they dont particularly care for it. Mine will certainly be second hand.
  11. Nope, I'm an only child so she cried her eyes out Tears of joy, I assure you. I thought I read something about forms being provided to fill in on the day - the green ones in our packs?
  12. You could always start something if there is no meet etc already organised?
  13. Ignore them - yellow is clearly the best colour, well it is now. Blue was the best colour a few months ago. (not that i am biassed in any way at all) Welcome to the site, Im sure whatever colour you end up with you will be very happy indeed. Just picking up on the insurance point though, have you had any quotes for the 350Z? If the S2000 was dear, then I can imagine the 350Z being fairly expensive too.
  14. If its a car you want though, its worth making the journey. I made two 450 mile round trips to get this Z. Once to view and secure the deal, and once to collect. I did do both drives in a Z though, so it made the whole experience a little more enjoyable
  15. A rusty spoon to stab the others with. I also watched it out of morbid curiosity. It is a great program for the clinically depressed. No matter how bad life seems, when watching Big Brother you can always take solace in the fact that there are people on this earth that are clearly beyond hope.
  16. I beleive today's high tide in Brighton is at 10.40 and 22.52 - 5.9m in the morning and 6m at night. Though if its Z related action you are looking for there is this in July: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7673
  17. Hi, Already some views on this very subject here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8074 My personal opinion is that I would stay away. Its one way of getting into a cheaper Z, but you will always have the stigma, which will make it equally hard to shift when you want to sell, and any damage that you dont know about that causes premature wearing of parts etc could result in expensive repairs further down the line.
  18. I think its £45k built by them to your specification (although the options dont seem staggering). £14k plus donor car an painting if you do it yourself. Though Im pretty confident if I were to build my own, I could clock up the difference of £31k quite easily in broken tools, replacing broken parts, rented accomodation when the missus kicks me and the car out, and solicitors fees to deal with the inevitable divorce.
  19. You see now why building my own car would be a long term project
  20. Thats some SERIOUS depreciation then - the website for the cars gives the base price as £45k if you look at the custom build section. Though if you go to the self assembly option, the total is £14k - but you have to find a donor Rover 827, and it states the only engine it wil accept on that chassis is the 2.7 V6 rover engine. Yet the custom build section lists a Honda 2.7 V6, maybe that fits too? Although Ive always fancied building my own car, it would be a very long term project and I would never swap our Z (daily driver) for a kit car.
  21. The things that strike me are: 12 month warranty, £45k for 174bhp and kit car build. Plus another £3k for leather and even remote locking is an extra. Not my cup of tea to be honest. Looks ok though, almost Aston V8 crossed with a Z06.
  22. Im sure thats the faint sound of a lid popping on one of these: I think it would be good to meet up with as many owners as possible, looking forward to having a good look at some of those cherished older Z's, some very looked after examples from what I saw at a previous meet.
  23. At the moment its not really an office tool, they are aiming at retail outlets etc (see the example of the guy comparing two mobile phones). Also hotels, allowing people to buy/pay for meals or book trips etc.. Coming out November this year in the US aparrently - id give it 12 to 24 months before there is some real purpose to having these in an office environment. Price tag of $5,000 to $10,000 apparently.
