  1. I was hoping for a poll You only need to upload the image under 6kb if you want to store it on this site, you can link to an external image over 6kb, just dont go daft with the physical size - 100x100 maybe.
  2. To give you some idea, I got a GT4 for that money with about 1k less on the clock. (Nissan dealer again) They did shift quite some way on the trade in on my other Z though, so there should certainly be some wiggle room in that price.
  3. One from an email? Cant remember a form for liability on the parade lap, although Im sure I must have had one in my pack or been told about it before. Is there, or can there be a checklist for people such as me ( ) to check off that they have completed/submitted everything necessary?
  4. I think buying a lambo brand new shows a person has that much money they dont particularly care for it. Mine will certainly be second hand.
  5. Nope, I'm an only child so she cried her eyes out Tears of joy, I assure you. I thought I read something about forms being provided to fill in on the day - the green ones in our packs?
  6. You could always start something if there is no meet etc already organised?
  7. Ignore them - yellow is clearly the best colour, well it is now. Blue was the best colour a few months ago. (not that i am biassed in any way at all) Welcome to the site, Im sure whatever colour you end up with you will be very happy indeed. Just picking up on the insurance point though, have you had any quotes for the 350Z? If the S2000 was dear, then I can imagine the 350Z being fairly expensive too.
  8. If its a car you want though, its worth making the journey. I made two 450 mile round trips to get this Z. Once to view and secure the deal, and once to collect. I did do both drives in a Z though, so it made the whole experience a little more enjoyable
  9. A rusty spoon to stab the others with. I also watched it out of morbid curiosity. It is a great program for the clinically depressed. No matter how bad life seems, when watching Big Brother you can always take solace in the fact that there are people on this earth that are clearly beyond hope.
  10. I beleive today's high tide in Brighton is at 10.40 and 22.52 - 5.9m in the morning and 6m at night. Though if its Z related action you are looking for there is this in July: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7673
  11. Hi, Already some views on this very subject here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8074 My personal opinion is that I would stay away. Its one way of getting into a cheaper Z, but you will always have the stigma, which will make it equally hard to shift when you want to sell, and any damage that you dont know about that causes premature wearing of parts etc could result in expensive repairs further down the line.
  12. I think its £45k built by them to your specification (although the options dont seem staggering). £14k plus donor car an painting if you do it yourself. Though Im pretty confident if I were to build my own, I could clock up the difference of £31k quite easily in broken tools, replacing broken parts, rented accomodation when the missus kicks me and the car out, and solicitors fees to deal with the inevitable divorce.
  13. You see now why building my own car would be a long term project
  14. Thats some SERIOUS depreciation then - the website for the cars gives the base price as £45k if you look at the custom build section. Though if you go to the self assembly option, the total is £14k - but you have to find a donor Rover 827, and it states the only engine it wil accept on that chassis is the 2.7 V6 rover engine. Yet the custom build section lists a Honda 2.7 V6, maybe that fits too? Although Ive always fancied building my own car, it would be a very long term project and I would never swap our Z (daily driver) for a kit car.
  15. The things that strike me are: 12 month warranty, £45k for 174bhp and kit car build. Plus another £3k for leather and even remote locking is an extra. Not my cup of tea to be honest. Looks ok though, almost Aston V8 crossed with a Z06.
  16. B)
  17. Im sure thats the faint sound of a lid popping on one of these: I think it would be good to meet up with as many owners as possible, looking forward to having a good look at some of those cherished older Z's, some very looked after examples from what I saw at a previous meet.
  18. At the moment its not really an office tool, they are aiming at retail outlets etc (see the example of the guy comparing two mobile phones). Also hotels, allowing people to buy/pay for meals or book trips etc.. Coming out November this year in the US aparrently - id give it 12 to 24 months before there is some real purpose to having these in an office environment. Price tag of $5,000 to $10,000 apparently.
  19. I think Ive just found my next toy for the office. http://www.majornelson.com/archive/2007 ... rface.aspx www.microsoft.com/surface
  20. Looks like a rip off of the Injen Titanium system. I have the standard injen with straight tail pipes (you can have them coming out at an angle which looks odd in my opinion). If it sounds anything like mine, then it can resonate in the cabin at certain frequencies under load, but its not too bad for long journeys too. Heres a pic, and the sound can be heard on the bala video about 2minutes 57s in. http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n163 ... lineup.flv
  21. I will try an dig out the mail from Bose that helped others get a new unit - but I have had a new pc (the old one broke) and it may take me some time to locate it as I dont know if the backup archive I took will work. Ill try tonight when Im back at the laptop. The basics of it were that an issue had been rectified on all new units, which should assist the dealer in requesting a NEW unit from Nissan rather than a refurb. Quite what "refurbishing" is done I do not know, as they can hardly reproduce the fault with the stereo on a bench in a working environment instead of in a car in a cold garage. As Mike says - get it back to the dealers and request they fix it - their problem, not yours.
  22. Sorry to drag this one up from the past, but I just had to share it with you... I actually spotted the subject matter of this thread driving around Chesterfield the other day. I knew I had seen it somewhere before - then it came to me that it was discussed on here a long long time ago.
  23. Yep those doing the washing may be joined by those returning from half term holidays too.
  24. Picking up on your point about the oficial forums, I would suggest that whenever anyone feels any moderation on any forum on the planet is harsh, take a look at the microsoft xbox forums - specifically the UK section. Some of the worst over the top moderation I have ever seen. If you contact Major Nelson, he may be able to help - he has been known to take action on individual issues, also a chap on the MS xbox forums with the name Lucky X13 who works for MS has been known to help out too. Other than that its a case of continuing efforts with Microsoft support. Or look up how you file a bbb complaint (us based watchdog type organisation I think) MS are responding once in receipt of one of those, and usually its a higher ranking individual that gets back, someone who can sort the problem out.
