  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe something like that. My golf is a bit older. Anyway. Cheapest part to change is battery. So can't hurt things. Was more the holy mortifying shame blocking everyone! Lol
  3. Today
  4. Once the market is flooded in Japan there might be. I think itll be a long time to see a car here. At £50-65k its not value for money. Just bragging rights. At 25-30k maybe lol. At that price point M2, Alpine GT, TTRS, Emira, F Type R, 4 pot GTS Cayman. Many more cars cheaper than that Nismo with a few miles on. Lol.... New 86 with supercharger looks really good. At 1300kg and 350hp crank!
  5. Cheers for that mate, I know alot of people run them and are happy with them.
  6. Would be nice to even see a base model here in the UK in the flesh one day to see how it sits. Do really like the Emira, looks a class bit of kit tbf, would love one.
  7. Am looking for the passenger side window switch for a 2009 nissan 350z. Second hand or new. Anyone help?
  8. Wont be surprised if they are available for rent in Japan and US soon. Too much competition at that price of £66k Would love to give one a go. Just a shame how Nissan managed the production release of the car. No point importing a Nismo when an Emira is cheaper used with a couple of miles on. Lol...Nismo being quicker in a straight line. You bet Emira will hold value too.
  9. Got stranded at Brands Hatch near the end of a trackday... CEL on & traction control plus skid lamps illuminated. Starts but revs bounce from 750-2000rpm approx... Pressing the throttle pedal has no effect & as soon as I dip the clutch & go to engage gear it cuts out. The fault code P2119 was pulled which says 'Electronic Throttle Control Actuator Bank 1' I'm assuming that bank 1 is UK RHD drivers side??? Does the code mean I should just replace the driver side bank 1 throttle body to fix the issue? 🤔🙏
  10. Glad that all ended well. Funny how it wouldn't jump start tho. Maybe the vw van was newish and had smart charging system so played funny buggers when connected to something else.
  11. Had a bit of a disaster Tuesday night. While trying to navigate a tight car park. The car cut out. And refused to restart. Wouldn't even turn over. The battery gauge dial showed not enough juice. So while blocking the car park I asked one of the people blocked by myself for a jump. However my hopes of a quick fix were dashed when the car still wouldn't turn on. Even on jump leads! ( it was a 2 litre diesel vw van) so surprised me. As I've jumped the 350z before with no issue with my simular engined golf. So at this stage a crowd had gathered. I asked them just yo push me out. To get out of their way. While they were pushing I risked a bump start. 2nd gear. Ignition on, simultaneously let out the clutch fast. And boom! She started! So I parked on a hill after that. My diagnosis is a completely banjaxxed battery. So new battery fitted today. Started fine a few times with it. Time will tell if the issue is solved. ( I love the 350z have a volt gauge) not a wasted dial at all!
  12. A nice little upgrade today to the Red Zed. I fitted the 380rs throttle pedal. I managed to pick one up on ebay. Cheap enough. It wasn't quite as easy as some of the ebay videos for fitting would suggest. My 2004 model looks to have the clip integrated into the throttle stop plastic body, and was tricky to get off. Not like the small clip on some later models I'd assume. Any on now. A nice little upgrade.
  13. Thanks guys and girls. Number's growing nicely.
  14. Great job, lovely spot. You need to have a contingency fund to buy a full size car 😂🏆
  15. I got some BC ER,s fitted this year very pleased with how the car drives now . I decided on these because of the adjustability as I do a few track days. The original shocks had done 105k so I suppose there had to be an improvement. Also I've noticed less tyre wear on the track. I should add that this my first experience of coil overs
  16. Yesterday
  17. Currently sitting 17mm front, 15mm rear.
  18. Basically want something that I feel confident in when driving, currently feel like I'm on marshmallows at the moment, but if the shocks are definitely gone then anything will be better. Don't want a massive drop, had 1k in mind, but if it means a bit more saving to get it right I'd rather fo that than dump a grand on something that feels inadequate on the road.
  19. What is your current goal? main reason I don’t generally tend to advise springs on Oem dampers is that people often go too crazy and more often that not the old dampeners aren’t capable of holding up and usually end up needing replacement sooner. I believe usually you’ll find Oem dampers are capable of a 20mm drop without an issue, some aftermarket shockers actually say they are compatible with lowering springs- the main thing you need to do is figure out your budget and why you are going down this road- much easier to narrow down your options - I had hsd true mono pros on mine and thought the value for money was good, I have had cabin the past and had issues with their setups
  20. Happy with current drop from the Teins at the moment though, would I have to go lower with the KW V3's?
  21. Think it was on the US forum? Something about the 350z was always meant to run on shocks and springs and never coilovers and that uprated shocks/springs are a better option unless you're paying for High end custom coilovers. So much information was making my head spin in the end, so thought I'd pose the question on here.
  22. Already have whiteline arbs and droplinks mate.
  23. I'll get budgeting for the kwv3's then if that's the case.
  24. As an option, i found that running full OEM suspension with uprated ARBs gave an excellent compromise between good road manners with improved road holding. Well worth considering if compliancy is a major concern.
  25. Whoever told you springs and Oem shocks are better than midrange coilovers probably didn’t know what they’re talking about, with the weight of the Z not really being on its side it’s fair to consider that updating the suspension will change the car drastically- it all depends on your budget and application- 800+ is where I’d roughly say the lower limit is for these cars and dependant on the manufacturer ie meister, hsd, teon, yellow speed brc are all in this price range- do your research and compare to what you think you can afford
  26. Actually stuff like Ohlins and the higher KW stuff is better for road usage as it’s better quality and properly damped: the budget stuff will always be crashier on the road (and I say that as someone who’s run BCs before!). Matching sets would be the way to go, and if budget allows then I’d go KW probably over BC/Tein etc. Bilstein top stuff is good too.
  27. I appreciate that this is a topic that's been done to death, but could really do with some feedback before I splash more cash out. Currently running Tein springs with standard shocks with tarmacsportz rear camber arms which were fitted in January, whiteline arbs and droplinks fitted as well. Alignment was done at the same time. Car now is ridiculous bouncy on motorway and getting knocking from rear, guessing my shocks have gone now. I've researched this a bit now, but can't decide whether to get bilstein b6 shocks to go with the tein springs or go coilovers? I've read some people saying that a decent spring and shocks setup is better than any midrange coilovers on the 350z, but I know people run BC's and are very happy with them. I know Ohlins and kwv3's are quality as well, but thought that might be a bit extreme for just road use. I know all opinions are subjective but would really appreciate some help in which direction to go in, before I make an expensive mistake.
