ZMANALEX started following EXTREME TWIN PLATE CLUTCH KIT and Steering sluggish - new steering rack required?
-
Firstly, try a proper bleed of the PAS
-
I’ll assume they changed the fluid when they changed the pump? Ultimately it’s a 20 year old car that’s not really been used, so sat around a lot of the time which isn’t a great thing. I’d expect a rack to last longer too, but only under normal use.

Blimey it's taken ages to be able to log back in here, had to create a new account too! So my GT4 power steering has become a bit weird. When you crank the wheel over it's not too keen to try and centre itself like it would if the steering was light, so the car has a tendency to drift left or right, and the steering is generally heavier than before. I had the garage fit another p/s pump but that hasn't changed the issue. The garage did say they didn't think there was anything wrong with the pump before hand, they think it's the rack. I tried the pump first just to be sure. Is there any other likely culprit or am I really looking at another rack? The car has done 32,000 miles. No idea how long a rack should last but probably longer than that. Is this a case for zmanalex then?

It's a fiddly job joining the upper and lower parts of the wing together, but other than that its a good fit to the boot panel. Nismo mk 1 probably my favourite wing. Now need some smoked rear lights...

I'm sure there are. Just need to get my hands in some low mileage ones that aren't rusted to hell.

Prob about half a dozen folks here with old ones sat in there garage!

Cheers for that mate. Cringing over every bump at the moment. Can't believe the price of new oem springs. I'll try and source some decent second hand ones.
-
I’d be amazed if it didn’t.

Maybe I'm getting old, but struggling with UK roads in the 350z. Currently running bilstein b6 shocks with tein s springs. If I went back to oem springs would the ride be more compliant?

Sorry to spam again but I picked up a couple of new additions at the weekend, plus re-positioned the hexagon lights. Oil drum seat: Lotus badge - this is a metal sign that i've just taped to the floor.

When you say OEM covers, are these branded or just no name ones? Seems every manufacturer out there uses the term OEM when the parts could be made on the cheap. Googling your C1131 code, doesn't seem relevant to what work you've done.

LouisS started following Engine management since changing Valve covers
-
Hi all, some context: I bought my first 350z at the end of August this year and when changing the spark plugs shortly after, I noticed that there was oil around a couple of the the spark plugs so went ahead and purchased two new OEM valve covers (or rocker covers which ever it is). I’ve since completed that and happy that the oil is now flowing within the engine not out however, today when I finally got it back out the garage, I was met by an engine management light and the car in limp mode. I put a code reader on it and get P1233 and C1131 codes. I tried clearing them and trying again but no joy, they come back after about a minute. i noticed the engine seems to be struggling to idle and eventually bogs down and the light comes on. I’ve check connections to things such as throttle bodies, cam sensors, intakes, coils packs etc but no joy. Does anyone have any ideas of possible areas to check or maybe someone can point me to a recommended garage/350z specialist in the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire area?
