  8. Hey folks, I hope one of you wonderful and very knowledgable people can help please. A couple of years ago I had a new Pioneer DAB stereo unit fitted to my Z. All was well until just before the warranty ran out when the unit failed. I took it back to the fitters (A big national chain) and they replaced it with a new unit. However, I wasn't too happy with the fitting at the time as I had to go back and get them to redo it as half my dash was out! Long story short, that was in Feb 2025. Roll forward to a couple of weeks ago and the sound just cut out completely, no warning, no crackles, no fading, nothing. I went back today to get it looked at and they said the head unit was fine (duh!) but the amp had "gone". I've called several places who said it would cost £k's to get it fixed as it would have to be removed or bypassed (?), that it was a very difficult job to repair the existing amp if not impossible, and that fitting a new system might not even be possible. I found an amp on eBay from a 350Z (didn't say what year) but am now advised that even that might not work because of it might have different software to my one. Can anyone advise me of what I can do please. I'm not techie and the audio places around near me only seem interested in trying to sell me a new system.

  10. I've asked CoPilot and its suggested Nifty city should have an early model AC adaptor Copilot The Nifty City Tesla-style screen for the 2009–2021 Nissan 370Z does include all necessary wiring harnesses and mounting brackets for installation. However, for 2009–2011 models, a specific HVAC adapter is required to ensure the air conditioning system functions correctly. Unfortunately, the product page does not list a specific part number for the HVAC adapter. Instead, it mentions that the system is designed to be plug-and-play but may require minimal modifications for early models like yours. 🔧 What You Can Do: Contact SoCal Z or Nifty City directly via their product support page to request the HVAC adapter for 2009–2011 370Z models. Ask specifically for the AC control interface or adapter harness for early models. If you purchased the unit from them, they may provide the adapter at no extra cost or guide you to the correct part. Would you like help drafting a message to their support team or finding a reseller that includes the adapter?
  11. We have had a club stand on a few occasions which I organised. Great event fyi.
  12. Mine is a 2015 so didn't have a problem. I'll have a look at the wiring diagrams and see if I spot the differences on an 09.
  13. Yep, original AC control box is still plugged into the OEM harness. It's the only unit retained from the stock equipment. The wire cutting and joining is only applicable to certain 09 models apparently.
  14. I didn't have to cut any harness. There is a white plastic box attached to the bottom of the head unit which is the AC control. Have you reused this? You want to.
  15. Hi Keith, Issue I have is the AC controls don't work properly. Now I know there is an alleged fix that involves cutting the supplied main harness and connecting white and green wires but the problem I'm having is that doesn't match any loom that I've been supplied. Thanks
  16. I fitted the one from AuCar a few months ago, they are all the same screen I think. This one. What problem have you got?
  17. Thanks Stewal and Wolf24h, I will have a go once I fix the Concentric Slave Cylinder Tube bleed nipple, the clutch fluid was dirty so I wanted to bleed the system but end up damaging the bleed nipple, the threads are damaged ordered 6mm bleed nipple going to attempt repairing the thread on the pipe and fit the nipple fingers crossed if unsuccessful the transmission needs to come out if im not wrong.
  18. Anyone out there fitted one of these screens to a 2009 270z? I've seen the write for the smaller screen but that doesn't help me and nifty city tech support are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Thanks

  20. Push the clutch or brake pedal upwards when trying to turn the CC to see if the switches are the reason
  21. Go Japan! - Go Japan! https://share.google/prSylxiEvqOOFxsF5 Any one going? Or do we have a club stand?
  22. Hi mate have you spoke to torqen?
  23. Clutch and brake pedal switches are a good place to start. Then scan with a code reader: traction control, eml, abs faults etc usually disable cruise but would expect a dash warning light too......
  24. Is anyone running true coil overs and air cups for mainly street use? And if so what is your experience v full airlift? What brands did you choose? Thanks!
  25. Hi, still in the rebuild process for my Z and took it for its first test drive. I've got a big knock from the rear under braking. Lifted her up and looks like the diff bush is toast, strange as it was fine before and I never actually removed the diff 🤷🏻‍♂️. Does anyone have the Z1 bush removal tool I can hire? Seems mad to spend that much when someone may have one lying around. Cheers
  26. All of the above did not work for me, have you found a way to fix this ?
