  1. Past hour
  2. Whatever you do end up getting, can't wait to see it on a drive out
  3. R8 vs GTR wouldn’t even be a question, in my mind. Unless you need the back seats, it’s not even close. However, we’ve now gone a budget class or two above a 987.2/981 🤣
  4. Today
  5. Another reason the 67 Zeds are being kept pricey. The tax is 190 or so. I definitely want to try other cars first ngl. I think ill arrange some test drives coming days/weeks. Certain costs are given but they vary vastly over an extended period from car to car. The GTR is what it is for costs. I even think its inline with R8 maintenance. Theres a couple in my area.
  6. Thanks Alex! Don’t have the kit for that in the garage at home so will take it down to local Monday morning to find out the DTC’s. Will try disconnecting the battery now for a bit though. Cheers for the help mate, James
  7. Best to check if any current DTCs are showing to perhaps get a better understanding of what is going on. Also may be a plan to carry out your resets. If you struggle with the above then try disconnecting the battery for half an hour.
  8. GLWS - this is a lot of car for the money!
  9. 350 stalled today which I instantly assumed wasn’t a driver issue 🤣. It then stalled again on a normal flat pull off which wouldn’t happen. Didn’t start straight away and needed a pedal pump, still not starting well now at all. The EML, and traction lights are now on even after restart and letting cool off. Any ideas to what this is or what could have caused this? Garage isn’t open today weekend for diagnostics. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Will really work well with your rear spoiler, can't wait to see it
  11. I have come to terms with he fact that i wont be doing anymore trackdays for foreseeable future and i just dont get the chance to drive the 370 as much as i would like. I have owned the car for about 2.5 years now and between the previous owner and myself a lot of work has been carried out to make this car pretty special, it has 1000s and 1000s of pounds worth of parts on to make this car perform brilliantly with minimal compromise to how it behaves on the road, i have addressed any issues that have arisen immediately so there is peace of mind that all the 370zs weak spots have been solved, the previous owner did gallery gaskets i have fitted an uprated CSC along with oem luk clutch and flywheel a few thousand miles ago. It has buckets of service history and receipts, lots of work has been carried out by Horsham Developments. A brief descrription of spec : Ecutek remap Cobra HFC Hks hi power exhaust Greddy sump Oil cooler with proper swaged lines Z1 long tube intake Recent spark plugs Uprated clutch slave Recent clutch with OEM Inc flywheel Gallery gaskets done Radium surge tank with aem and walbro pumps Vibratechnics trans mount Z1 subframe inserts Bilstein b16 coilovers Adjustable suspension arms including hard race fuca Ebr rp1 pads Recent discs Braided lines Motul rbf brake fluid Z1 diff cover White line front rear arbs White line adjustable drop links White line diff bushes Torqen headlights Torqen side repeaters Gtr start button Irp shifter Tarmac sports w brace Goodyear eagle F1 supersport tyres As you can see it has some very nice parts fitted, as with all 14 year old cars it has some small issues, the bonnet, boot, roof and mirrirs has been carbon wrapped, its not in your face and is a very good job and does actually look real, has a few blemishes on bodywork include a very small rust spot at bottom of wheel arch, the shifter takes some getting used to i do have the stock one if new owner wants to put it back in. this has also been driven by Misha at nurburgring, his complaints were rear end was too soft, the coilovers were set on full soft and shifter but otherwise loved the car, i was petrified! The car is currently in a barn i will get it out this weekend and take some more pictures ,it is sitting around 90k, have hardly driven it since its mot in January i am asking £12000
  12. Chargespeed rear bumper So I spent way too much money. Got myself a replica Chargespeed rear bumper from Chris at Tarmac. It was actually reasonably priced. But...had to ship it here to Northern Ireland, also It's a bare shell, So needs allot of the brackets to attach fittings. The cutouts for the number plate lights needs added. It needs some fabrication to allow the indicators to mount also. Plus prep and paint. So i bit the bullet and sent it to Perfected Paintwork Ni who did the awsome work on my rusty sills 2 years ago. It's with them now. And in for paint now. Excited to see the results next week. I've never seen a Chargespeed rear bumper in red before.
  13. I tend to not factor road fund licence and fuel into running costs, as these are a given for any vehicle. Things like servicing (has to be at a specialist to maintain value) brakes, tyres, wear items, insurance premium with GTR value added tax would be substantial.
  14. Based on 8 to 10k Miles a year It would be 1.5 to 2 times what it cost to run the Z at its cheapest. Around £7,000 per year. That one had the brakes done recently so saving £2000 already. Its the bi-annual service that costs and who knows whats due next. When you add all the costs together including £730 tax, insurance its expensive thats why lots of GTR are just sitting for 6 months. If you add fuel, insurance, tax and service Zed was pretty much near 5k to run per year. GTR will be 50% more i reckon if a major service plus brakes needed to be done for example thats like 2.5 to 3k alone. It is what it is. Next time you see me I might be "sports" EV lol or back in a Z
  15. Yesterday
  16. Drop me a message. I can make a carbon fibre set for you if that helps Paul
  17. For anyone heading over to UNIFIED car show next weekend, few of us having a convoy over. We have a stand, show is all makes and you're welcome with us 🤗 https://drive-r.co.uk/pages/unified-show
  18. I can't help with new, however, plenty fully working preowned in stock.
  19. We can try asking in Japan or USA if you're after a replacement buckle, sometimes UK and Europe discontinued part number but they're still available there.
  20. For info, the drivers buckle is no longer available from Nissan. I sprayed a small amount of maintenance spray into the mechanism & it seems to have freed it up, to the point where it releases straight away.
  21. Finally a sound clip and its loud. Second clip is with @Hansburger behind the wheel.
  22. The fixing positions are different so not interchangeable. I have both types in stock at the minute.
  23. Hello, I drive a HR and will be buying a new starter soon, as was wondering what the difference between the starter motors used on the DEs and HRs were? I think I saw someone say the solenoid position but cannot remember. Thank you!
  24. Good price? Trade is 30-36k though http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202401125496183

    New Brake setup

Hi Jay, Stoptech, DBA or TORQEN for the discs will be absolutely fine for what you're using them for, they're all good for fast road use and daily driving. TORQEN Front: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/246122-350z-z33-torqen-anchorz-street-high-performance-brake-discs-front.html TORQEN Rear: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/246123-350z-z33-torqen-anchorz-street-high-performance-brake-discs-rear.html Front DBA: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/246123-350z-z33-torqen-anchorz-street-high-performance-brake-discs-rear.html Rear DBA: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/476-350z-dba-4000-t3-series-slotted-rotor-set-rear-brembo.html Front Stoptech: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/495-350z-stoptech-discs-for-brembo-brakes-front-pair-slotted.html Rear Stoptech: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/discs/509-350z-stoptech-discs-for-brembo-brakes-rear-pair-slotted.html (The Stoptech are also available in Slotted and Drilled as well as solely drilled). Pads, Ferodo's you mentioned are good, if you wanted some other suggestions - Stoptech and Hawk pads are also worth looking into, all three brands have great reviews. If brake dust is an issue, go for the Hawks. Also worth keeping in mind the Ferodo can be slightly squeaky at times and can have a fair amount of brake dust if that's going to be an issue for you As always, do feel free to message me if you need anymore help.
