adymi16 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 hi, i have for sale a pair of frost grey 350z letaher seats, they are in excellent condition i bought them 3 years ago, never got round to fitting them. price is £550 located in basingstoke in hampshire. when they where removed from the car whoever did it cut the wires rather than undoing the electrical connectors (not a hard job to swap yours on on add some replacments). 350Chris Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Do you have any pictures of what has been cut? Trying to work out what it is that would be required to undo the bodge... Quote
WhackyWill Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Probably cut the wires to the heater, or the motors... Quote
GIXXERUK Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Probably cut the wires to the heater, or the motors... easy swop if the seats you are replacing are electric/heated, just use your own connectors 1 Quote
adymi16 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 just been an taken another look looks like just the drivers seat had some wires cut when it was removed and its the 2 yellow ones, which i know normally go to a plastic connector which in turn go into a connector coming from wires in the floor. pretty sure the 2 yellow are the air bag wires. i remember not being phased by what was required when i bought them. Also just noticed that the little tray thing on the drivers side is cracked and broken. Again not a big deal if you have a set of seats already, or easy to get from a breakers, lots of zeds being stripped on ebay at the moment. i may even have one somewhere in the garage i'll take a look. still an easy way to get some frost grey seats in great condition. Bodyboarder81 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Can't believe these haven't sold yet ! Great price considering colour , condition and what a tatty set seem to go for ..... Quote
adymi16 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 I know! Thinking some of the other replys have put a negative spin on my sale! I've spoken to a local trusted garage and they can't see any issue with sorting the cut drivers air bag cable (never phased me when I bought them) ... anyway if there still here in a couple of weeks I will pack them up and put them into storage again. Maybe try again later in the year. Quote
Bems Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Have you not thought about repairing the cables from one of these local trusted garages? Did they give an estimate to repair? Quote
adymi16 Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Why would anyone get a quote from a garage to do a 10 miniute wiring job an 8 year old could complete! Add electrical connectors, extend wires then add the connector from your exsisting seats or buy a new one. Fit seats..... Seats no longer for sale I'll store them in the hope potential buyers technical ability improves in the next couple of years . Quote

adymi16 Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 And for the record I was not chancing anything, I bought the seats like this for considerably more than I was trying to sell them for. Never fitted them as I owned 2 zed' s at the time, an 06 rev up with mint orange leather, and a midnight blue 08 hr with a cloth seats. Plan was to fit the frost grey into the hr, however I decided the cloth seats were better in the more performance focused hr, Seats sit a little lower and actually give more support and being cloth you slide around less, hence why these were never fitted. Been thinking about getting them out of storage for 6 months or so to clear some space. Why can't I be bothered to sort the connector issue myself? Same reason they sat around for 3 years in storage, l have better things to do with my time and have no financial need to get them sold. I put them up at a reasonable price and cleary stated the connector issue. I was not chancing anything. Quote
R35LEE Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 They are great seats and an awesome price for good condition seats! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk Quote
