R19kkk Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Hi there, I have wanted a 350z for some time now and have decided to bite the bullet and get one. Wanting to spend around £7000 or swap for a Liquid Yellow R26. Must be a GT, colour isn't as issue as long as service history etc all adds up and it is a well maintained Z. I would like a black one though Thanks Quote

R19kkk Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Would I be better off increasing my budget and getting a HR? Quote
pjf1985 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hi mate and welcome along Love the Megane, its a really nice car. Personally I wouldn't bother with the HR. Maybe try get a Rev-Up facelift 2006+ that's what I did. Quote
R19kkk Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Do the revups not burn stupendous amounts oil? Quote
350zedd Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hi and welcome to the forum If you can afford it, then go for the HR, without a doubt, better engine all round. I avoided the rev-ups because of the oil issues, pushed the finances and went for an HR. I was after a black but ended up with a night blue....beautiful motor Quote
R19kkk Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Sonds lovely! I am actually in the process of purchasing my first house so want to avoid finance/loan so set a 7k budget. Is the HR really that much better? Thanks. Quote
pjf1985 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Do the revups not burn stupendous amounts oil? My Rev-up is fine and doesn't seem to use loads of oil. Just remember to check it every so often and you'll be fine. My FN2 used a lot more oil. Quote
350zedd Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 My lad has an Azure Blue 54reg zed for around the budget you are talking, and is very happy with it. Its just that the HR is a newer upgraded version and better all round in my opinion. Thats why I went for it. The choice is yours my friend Try and test drive both versions if you're undecided. Quote
R19kkk Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 None really local though this is the problem. Do you have a link to your sons Zed? Thanks Quote
