I do believe that it is an offence to have sucker mounted cameras in the UK. Sat navs are OK though.

 

Can't prove it but am sure I have read it somewhere.

Really? I know Silverstone don't like sucker mounted cameras on track days but not heard anything about on the road.

I've driven around with a GoPro on a few times and never had any problems.

That cant be true.. Surely i use a sucker mounted phone holder which is sat nav and a camera.. And i use a sucker mounted dash cam too!

I use the BlackVue cameras, with the rear one mounted on the passenger side in the front

Seems to fall into the same category as how having an air freshener dangling from your rear view mirror can fail an MOT.
