mbw100 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Has anyone ever managed to bypass the speed limiter on a stock Z to discover what she'll do in a straight line? On a track of course! Much more than the limited 155 I'm sure. Quote
Siman350z Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 IIRC it's an option on the up rev (and most other) tunes. So fairly common. Getting above an ACTUAL 155 mph takes a lot of power and distance though, apart from the long straight at the ring (which does have small links anyway) there aren't really any tracks in the uk to get there in a 350z and on the road it'd be very dangerous maxing out to that level. There are vmax track days run but can't say driving fast in a straight line on an airfield is my thing! I've researched it and found some people in the US claiming up to 165/170. Quote
370Ad Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 168mph with uprev. GPS speed verified. It was down a hill though Quote
Grundy Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 After an uprev, I'm pretty sure it's 170+, I'm sure BM will be hear shortly to tell you. Quote
