Cal Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Ahead of my car being resprayed - the paintshop I'm dealing with don't fancy trying to repair it, so I'm going to go with a regular HR hood. There is a 6 inch crack in the clear coat right by the bonnet catch... I'm sure someone out there could repair this at reasonable cost. It was bought from EP Racing for about £550 if I remember rightly. I am genuinely open to offers on this - and I'm pretty sure I can turn up at the Betws-Y-Coed bit of the Wales meet if anyone would like to see it in person. Cal Quote
Cal Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Also - I am away for a week as of tomorrow, and the buyer would also need to be patient while I sort/fit replacement and package up the carbon item. Quote
Daryl Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Looks like a stone has hit it, should be able to flat the area back to the carbon, and re-lacquer it without too many issues. Does not look like the carbon has cracked. Could be a bargain for someone willing to have a play with it. 1 Quote
Scott TMN Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Literally just got back from a bodyshop after asking if they would repair it, unfortunalty not, if I could find someone that is willing to repair it for a decent enough price I could be very interested in this! Quote
Grundy Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I don't think Bob would even let me make you and offer for this 2 Quote

Cal Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 PM's cleared. I'll be out of the country for a week as of today but I'll be able to check messages. So I can't really sort anything until then, and the buyer would also have to be patient for me to sort/fit a replacement. Cheers all, Cal. Quote
