GMballistic Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Very nice Graham. Is your garage big enough for all these cool motors you have now though? If not I will happily store the GTR for you FOC. Quote
leonk Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Looks great Graham. Plenty of room for a Cosworth BDA in there then! Looking forward to your updates. Try to keep them to less than every six months like mine. Quote

This will more than likely spend a bit of time at Slys place.... but thanks for the offer! Looks great Graham. Plenty of room for a Cosworth BDA in there then! Looking forward to your updates. grahamc Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) You need to have a look on http://www.turbosport.co.uk/ this is going to be expensive, isnt it....?!?! Edited April 29, 2014 by grahamc Quote
grahamc Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Turns out that shipping works out a lot cheaper if I have 2 cars so there is a 2nd MK1 in the container 2nd car gets picked up next week and both should be shipped shortly after! 1 Quote

GIXXERUK Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 loving that white car Yeah, me too! Its just had rebuild done, so looking forward to seeing it over the weekend. Wipers, wiper arms and bumpers and it's good to go Quarter bumpers always look good on the front Quote
grahamc Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 yeah, need to do a couple of little things, maybe wheels as well Quote
grahamc Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Once I have scavenged (locks and dash) a few parts from it, the blue one will be up for sale as a rolling project. The car is a 1970 MK1 Ford Escort 3 door. The shell has had some bad repair work that will need to be fixed and the engine is incomplete. The rest is pretty much complete rolling shell, windows, doors, interior (mostly complete), gearbox, diff, etc... ideal I would think for someone looking for a nice winter project! Quote
grahamc Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 I can confirm that after a fuel flush, the blue escort started!! Ideally looking to sell this as a running, rolling project, so if anyone is interested in the blue one, let me know Quote
GMballistic Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Wish I could buy the blue one. Will be a great project for someone. Quote
grahamc Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 Wish I could buy the blue one. Will be a great project for someone. Thats what I am hoping!! Would love to do both, but I currently have 3 project cars and 1 escort is enough. 1 Quote
grahamc Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Well the white one is nearing mechanical completion, it will then be MOTd and then over the winter the bodywork and interior bits will be finished off. I am now starting to look at options RE the bodywork and bad repairs on the blue car, just not sure who to go to for the work. Car is currently in Kent with Sly and I am near Redhill. I have emailed Morley Auto Services, but any one know of any good bodywork specialists in the area? Hopefully not too expensive either..... dont mind them taking a long time Quote
HoundDog Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 If you are interested in a good bodywork specialist in Kent I would recommend Bredhurst body shop in Bredhurst. I have used these for the 350 as well as other cars. excellent work and good price. Quote
grahamc Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Blue one is now on eBay since I bought the 240z.... cant have so many projects http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191411389331?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Quote
grahamc Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Time for an update.... not a great deal has happened with these, but things are all starting to come together Since buying the 240z, 3 old projects was just too much, so the blue one will be moving on to a new owner shortly. The white one is going to someone who knows escorts on the 6th of December and will be getting stripped and the shell will go off to be bare-metaled and then resprayed. So will soon have a few photo updates Quote
grahamc Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Update, well 240 is progressing well, the blue escort has been sold and the white has started to progress been waiting for stock of parts, but the interior has been stripped and the exterior is progressing nicely This is what it looks like now:- And then finally, this is what I am aiming for once finished.......... albeit without the bubble arches - I am still not sure whether I actually like them:- Quote
