nixy Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 This was a post I first saw on one of the type R forums - it led to lots of people wondering why they didn't have a map tray under their passenger seat when others did and people also found lots of cubby holes and cup holders they never realised they had! There was also other things pointed out like you couldn't put your spare wheel on the front. Anyway has anyone got any of these useful gems they can share about the Z? Quote
jim Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 And the hidden force that puts a smile on the face of the driver. Quote
nixy Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 you two are crap......... I like the screen washers coming out of the wipers instead of squirting your screen. I've never seen them like that before. Quote
mugwump Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 like the fact that you cant turn the traction control off completely? No really, its true! Quote
Trev-the-Rev Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 I get water coming out of my rear screen washer jet when I accelerate hard, anyone else get this? Quote
nixy Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 You've probably just got the first Z to get 'over excited'! Quote

mugwump Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 the "genius" design of the sunglasses holder that means on a hot day they scold your face off and leave permanent facial disfigurement so you have to jam the shades into the airvent for 2 minutes before you put them on. Quote
Zzzz... Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 The clever design , sorry positioning, of the hazard switch on pre 2006 models.... The ingenious coat hanger that you can't really hang anything from cos theres no real space there.. The glove box location? Quote

Also when the holder is warm it drops really quick, but when its cold ....its suddenly night Quote
sl114 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I get water coming out of my rear screen washer jet when I accelerate hard, anyone else get this? YES! I was wondering if this ever happened to anyone else! haha at least mine was not the only one then. My little quirk would be the smile i had on my face when i got in her. Quote
Kuro Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 After owning a Zed for over two years, I noticed something for the first time the other week. The vents on the door, the round ones, you can rotate them to give the best effect, there's even a small tab to make the rotation easier It also took me a few days to discover the 'secret' document holder under the mat in the glovebox Quote
sl114 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I never knew there wa a tab to make them swivel easier. I found the 'secret' document holder the day after i got the car as i cleaned the whole thing top to bottom and took everything i could off. Quote
nixy Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 I haven't found either of these yet! In fact it was ages before i even found the vent on the door as it was closed! And where is this sunglasses holder? Quote
Kuro Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 The sunglasses thing is above the rear view mirror Quote
nixy Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 really? Is it noticeable cos I've never seen it. I'll have a look later! See, I knew I'd find something out if I posted this. Quote
Kuro Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 really? Is it noticeable cos I've never seen it. I'll have a look later! See, I knew I'd find something out if I posted this. It's near the interior light switches, just press the button thing and the holder comes down Quote
martinmac Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Good shout Nixy, amazing what you find out. Quote
nixy Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 It's especially useful if you have a jdm like me because I don't have a handbook. I usually read the handbook from cover to cover - sad I know - I'll go and get my anorak........... Quote
mugwump Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 must admit it was a while before i sussed the interior lights were push on/push off Quote
