Brake dust - any suggestions?

I was cleaning the car over the weekend, and have struggled to get rid of dried up, stubborn brake dust! Have tried alloy wheel cleaner and a bit of elbow grease, but wondering if there was am essier way? Or just a bit of hard work that I'm allergic to 😉

Thanks

I would keep softening it up with a washmit of hot water (with car wash shampoo) - bit of inoffensive wheel cleaner and repeat process until it goes.

Then, purchase gtechniq C5 wheel armour and never have to do this again...

If it is brake dust and alloy cleaner ain't working try fallout remover to remove embedded iron particles.

By far the best is IRON X by Carpro.

Spray on.

Leave for 5 mins.

Gently agitate with brush if stubborn.

ZERO elbow grease :teeth:

Don't forget to put a peg on your nose!!

I use the poor boys product to protect the wheels once they are shining again. Then when I get a build up of brake dust it's just an easy wipe down with a damp cloth to remove.

I use the same. Once I polish the wheels up and get rid of the brake dust, i give them 2 or 3 coats of poor mans wheel sealant.

Brake dust is a nightmare though, seems to melt its way into my alloys.
