New comer just saying hi :)

Welcome! Looks like you are at around the same starting point as me. Look forward to seeing your progress.

Mines the same with some bodywork needed. So far I’ve gotten coil overs, lightweight flywheel, and JWT clutch in. Just put full black diamond rotors and brakes on (no budget for big brake kit but not much need yet anyway )

If you are happy with the power and want a little extra snap in the car I would highly recommend. Changed the feel and is great fun to throw around a bit. Just seemed to bring everything together.

glad you are having fun with the Zed!

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys!

I do love this forum, awesome people driving awesome cars!

I shall definitely be getting pictures.

Where should I post? I guess in the build thread right?

I've challenged myself to get a show/track car in the next two years.

I've been searching and asking everyone local to me if they have a garage and tools I could access. I have a few leads but nothing as of yet.

Alot has changed since my last zee.

I sold it and got an 09 scirocco gtst

It was lovely, but wayyyy too refined.

I almost moved to Australia about a year after I made this original post.

I stayed there for several months and decided to come home.

I didn't own a car for 2 years once

I had got home (I had access to work vehicles, but I need a car)

I saved to purchase another z, by april last year I had saved enough.

I searched for around a month and finally found one! I drove 4 hours from Kent up to caister to pick it up and fell in love again as soon as I got behind the wheel. It was a great example 05 GT.

After two weeks of ownership, my girlfriend at the time found out she was pregnant! I was over the moon (but slightly gutted, as I thought the 2 seater had to go) BUT she told me not to sell the vehicle. Fast forward to September, I married her ofcourse.. Who wouldn't marry a lady who forces you to keep your other fair-lady, pun intended.

Our beautiful baby is now seven months old and is wonderful.

Now we are settled into our home and all the hectic and expensive craziness is out of the way it is time to do what I've always wanted to do. Turn a dream into reality, build myself a track/show car. I'm not looking to make it into any magazines, but I love the idea of showing off a car I believe is beautiful!

I've had a few Hiccups, I reversed my car onto my drive and somehow hit the curb before the drop curb, as it doesn't cover my drive fully. Tore a catalyst, ripped my bumper under the drivers headlight which in turn has chipped the paint work on the bonnet.

So the paintwork will be done first.

I shall get out tonight and get some pictures of the car.

You are a little ahead of me, but maybe this is where I shall start. I need to sort my cats first so I may purchase a full exhaust system. I've always liked the single exit systems, I know this probably makes some of your cringe. You're more than welcome to try and change my mind! I wouldn't be offended. I am really excited to finally have spare time and commitment to start a project.

Thanks for sticking around to read.

Much love to the 350z-uk community, I look forward to becoming a local!
