Face Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Hi guys Picked my new 350z up yesterday and i have a few questions First is If i have the radio off and just listening to the beautiful sound of the engine, i can hear a faint rumble coming from the rear left wheel i think. best way to describe it - it's like if you was going over a rumble strip on the hard shoulder (but you had ear plugs in) Second is Rear parking sensors are really quite best way to describe it - it's like if you had parking sensors(but you had ear plugs in) Third is Gear change from 1st to second is clunky, the rest of the gears are smooth but shifting from first to second is clunky Best way to describe it - It has nothing to do with ear plugs in Any advice much appreciated Cheers Quote
Jp606 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 First one sounds like a bad wheel bearing, last one is normal, but a gearbox oil change and adding Molyslip really improves this. If you are handy with a spanner it's extremely easy to do yourself. Quote

cmck13 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Parking sensors don't come as standard, usually fitted privately, can only assume the unit has been fitted in the boot or rear area you should be able to trace backwards from the sensors. Quote
akewt Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I was going to say the same. parking sensors are after market so depends who fit them and what make. might be hard to find out but i'm sure there would be setting or resistor to change this. might be more hassle than it's worth to be honest. Quote
GIXXERUK Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 the park sensor kit was an optional extra and was fitted by the dealer so kits can vary depending on what the dealer fancied, the buzzer is in the boot, find it and check the connections, poor connections often give a low volume (give it a knock) worst case you could replace the buzzer, maplins etc ... WhackyWill Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 You can get the gearbox and diff oil and Molyslip as a kit from from Clarks. Did mine as had same problem with 1st to 2nd, now perfect. So PM Clark and get the correct fluids. 1 Quote

Also sorted out changing from 5th to 6th gear for me which is smooth as you like now. 1 Quote
