Hello good forumers I am relocating to the US in the next few weeks. As you can imagine I have been in absolute turmoil trying to decide whether to ship my car over to the US or not. I cannot bare the thought of losing her (Lexy) so wanted to start up a discussion about the pros and cons of shipping her out there. My company is paying for the relocation and this includes the cost of shipping a car. So that is all well and good so import cost won't be too much pain, although coming back I imagine would be! Has anybody on here had any experience with shipping a car over to the US? I will be relocating to California so what type of emission laws do they have there? I will try to find out some info here and post. What do you have to do to convert your car to meet these emission laws? Also, any opinions on whether having a car with the wrong hand side steering wheel is a real pain after a long period? Should I just sell up and buy another over there?!! Thanks for reading Kev

that's a good point mouthwash. I totally agree, I think EVERYONE thinks they are better than they are. I've taken a speed awareness course, which actually really helped my motorway driving and I have had a lot of time on the track in single seaters and coupes alike (not mine however!) with some top 5 times. That makes me sound like I think I'm a race driver, far from it. I am definitely more experienced and more enthusiastic than most, hence having a Zed and generally loving driving! Sorry to hijack!

I had a similar issue when my fan-belt had disintegrated but if you have bought a new battery that would exclude that issue. interested to hear what the result is though dude.

+1 for the MPSS. I have been rolling on these for a bit now and they have treated me very well in a lot of "situations" wet and dry.

If you have to get an new exhaust you may as well upgrade. I got Abbey Motorsport to upgrade mine to a Milltek. Abs love it and the sound it makes.

I saw more roadsters in Cali than anything else. I'm relocating to Cali in a months time and was seriously considering shipping my Zed over there but apprently it would have to be modified for the emission laws! No thanks!! I like my exhaust!!!
