  1. That clears it right up for me thanks. Looks like the AppRadio with NavFree could be a good option for me. Cheers indy88
  2. I'd be thinking about resale value too. Hopefully not, but you may have to sell it again and people will walk away because of it.
  3. Thanks! Didn't know there was a for sale section! I'll have a look.
  4. Funds ready and I'm ready to buy! Wanted one of these two but they both are gone. Frustrating that the Ad is still up. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4066852.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4006108.htm Is it best to stick with PistonHeads? Or do people use ebay and autotrader etc. I want to wait for the right one nearly exactly like above. Can't wait!! ROADTRIP!
  5. I'm kinda resurrecting this because i'm still not convinced. My issue is this; I will be taking the car abroad on some road trips so need to use the SatNav in Europe (essential) and possibly Canada. All these tablets and the pioneer AppRadio will need the phone service providers GPS connection won't they? That will then be extortionate abroad surely. I really need standalone satnav NOT through the phones service provider. Is this possible with any of the aftermarket solutions without getting a dedicated SatNav worth a bloody fortune!? Cheers for any help.
  6. Thanks mate. I'll give him a bell.
  7. Hello I'm on the brink of buying a lovely 350z and when I get it I would like to get an aftermarket SatNav/Tablet/PC installed in the cubby. I would consider doing it myself but think I would rather get somebody else to do it. Ideally I want to have SatNav + Tunes + Movies so maybe PC? Cheers
  8. loving the setup spursmaddave. Seems after market could be the way to go then. I like the look of the 7" screen in the cubby space. the attached image is an example currently on PH. looks pretty neat and tidy. with the satnav unit do people get them hooked into and other electrics in the car or does it just need power?
  9. Those replies are really helpful especially the one about being a deal breaker. thanks rabbitstew. There is a perfect 350z on pistonheads in surrey, where I am, but without sat nav. Was thinking I wouldn't take it cos of the lack of sat nav but now reconsidering. An android phone with sat nav is prob way easier and better all round. Not sure I like the fact theres no support for postcodes?! Hmmm. feel good knowing I can go for a Z without. opens it up rather more. The main thing for me is how snazzy the screen looks up top like that! Cheers guys.
  10. Just answered my own question by phoning Nissan Wilsons in Epsom. Can't get a sat nav at the top without changing the whole dash. I will be buying a 350z with it already installed! Bonjour
  11. Hello all I'm wanting to buy a 350z pretty soon and I have a dilemma. Do I buy a 350Z with the factory fitted sat nav already installed or go for one without (widening buying potential) and fit an after market job. If it would be after market I would want it to be in the same place at the top of the console like the factory fitted one. Any advice appreciated!! Kev
  12. like this one!! I need to get saving http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3823371.htm
  13. Cheers guys! I only really plan to have it for a year maybe more so resale value is key. I would like to find an example <60k miles 1 previous owner in gun metal grey for <£10k. Do you think that is realistic? Also in terms of performance, what are the big wins i can do straight off the bat without spending a fortune? Good to be here and talking about it. Fully pumped
  14. Hello all I'm pretty much set on getting myself a 350z in a couple of months so the research will start here. So far I think I will be looking for a standard 2007 facelift model with 313bhp. Budget is fairly open at the moment. Eventually i may think about some slight customization. I'm no motorsport guru and have never done anything like this before so want to get as much advice from as many pros as poss. This seems like the place to find those pros! Cheers everyone, i look forward to some discussions. Please pipe if you feel like it. Kev
