First bit of advice mate: read your manual! Nobody ever does but you'll ne surprised the cool little things the car can do. If you fancy modding, start with the looks as its unlikely you'll need any extra poeer while you're getting used to how she drives. If you can live with the limited seats, you'll never need to change your car- she's got everything you could want ;)

Thanks for the welcome! Im new to this caper so it might take me a while to figure out how to use site but i,ll keep tryin, yeah i struck lucky getting the car, my last car let me down so went and traded it in for a peugot diesel and hated it! so two weeks later seen the zed online went to view it and here we are, Fuel consumption is a little bit concerning but i,ll get used to it, Car is 2005 with gt pack and only 34k miles fsh i couldnt believe my luck!!

Are there any issues i should watch out for?

I was dubious about joining these forums but looks like i came to the right place! I now have some questions, whats the best oil for car? best place to buy parts? bose cd skipping any fixes for this? unleaded or super unleaded? wheels and tyre sizes and choices if i fancy changing them?

I am going to clay polish and wax car over wkd if its dry to try and remove some small scratches any advice on that too please!

Tokai, regards to cleaning, I was advised to purchase the following and did:

Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Clay Lube and Clay Bar.

Meguiars Scratch X Polish.

Dodo Juice Purple Haze Wax.

That's the main stuff really. If you use the search bar or look in the detailing forum you will find heaps of useful tips. Obviously use the two bucket method, buy a drying towel and have a heap of polishing cloths.

Always use super unleaded, they are designed to run on the higher octane stuff apparently. I got berated for asking if standard tesco petrol would so. Now use Momentum every time.

Skipping bose unit can be condensation. If you buy a dehumidifier sack for a few quid on ebay and shove that into the tape deck it may draw the moisture into that and not the lense. How effective that is I don't know lol.

I'd start with wheel spacers first then worry about wheels. Once we start harping on about it enough you'll notice how sucked into the car the wheels look lol. I did so am getting spacers soon!

Oil: 5W30 fully synthetic. Personal choice but I use Fuchs Titan Race Pro S from Opie Oils a trader on here; http://www.opieoils....ce-engines.aspx

http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82345-buy-5l-fuchs-titan-race-get-1l-free/

Best place to buy parts: so many good traders on here to choose from. I've used Tarmac Sportz and Horsham Developments but see here for the full list; http://www.350z-uk.c...sional-traders/

Bose skipping CD player: http://www.350z-uk.c...ce-10-discount/

Most people just upgrade though to a new head unit of their own choice. I have a 6.5" touch screen Pioneer CD/DVD HU that is great imo.

Fuel: Always use Super Unleaded and nothing else!! I use Texaco Super Unleaded as it's my local garage but Shell V-Power Nitro when I can get it. http://www.350z-uk.c...-zed-on-95-ron/

Wheels & tyres: So many choices on wheels it is unbelievable and all personal choice ~ tyres though try to use Michelin Pilot Super Sports as they are highly regarded as the best tyres for the Zed although again it's personal choice & there are loads to choose from to suit various budgets. http://www.350z-uk.c...t-super-sports/

Car detailing: Again lot's of personal preferences but I use;

Meguiars X2.0 for removing scratches & blemishes; http://www.ebay.co.u...ff13=80&ff14=95

Autoglym Intensive tar remover for getting rid of tar spots/tree sap/sticky residue etc; http://www.ebay.co.u...&ff14=95&ff19=0

Meguiars 3 step kit for full monthly/bi-monthly detail;

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2a37178d66

Turtle wax Ice synthetic paste for general monthly waxing; http://www.ebay.co.u...=item257bc7130e

Have a good read through the detailing section here: http://www.350z-uk.c...-car-detailing/

Hope I've answered your questions and helped rather than confuse you. :lol::thumbs:
