Does anyone else LIKE spending money on their car??

It's outrageous seeing how people are wasting money on cars on this forum. What's wrong with you people?! I would never ever spend money like that...

It's a bit of a hobby really isn't it. When I lived with my rents, my old dear used to get pi**ed with me "wasting money" on my cars....until my dad pointed out "at least he's not spending it on drugs" ;)

If you see it as a hobby rather than any kind of investment then it's easier to explain...not sure who I'm trying to convince here, but that theory works for me! :D

Yup, I get the same old from non-petrol heads - Why do you ruin a car, waste money etc. It makes me happy, end of.

I just point out that my friends spend a few hundred each month on booze, to then pi55 it down the toilet the next day or throw it up a few hours after forcing the toxin down their throat. I spend probably the same each month on my car, and I have something physical to show for it. It also doesn't (normally!) have me in bed the next day when I do too much!

Sardine, we've always known you are crazy. :p:lol:

Only time I resent having to pay for things for any of our cars is if some muppet has left something on the road, that's gone through one of the tyres when they've still got plenty of tread left, and I haven't been able to find a matching set, so have gone for new ones of another type.

I've been thinking about this more recently and I think, for me at least, it's more of an OCD than anything else. At the weekend I spent £200 at a bodyshop for them to take my front and rear bumpers off and put them back on as to my eyes they weren't lining up correctly. I spent ten minutes walking around the car with my Mrs showing her what my issue was and it was completely invisible to her, she thought I was going crazy!!!
