oldbonesmcgee Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 I think once you get the car you'll be screaming out for an exhaust, they are SOOO quite standard. And the short tails on their own give it a very smooth high end performance car sound (but they are quite loud) I've got de-cats fitted at the moment and the standard back box back on, I'm not sure I like the rasp, but the de-cats give a significant performance gain once you're mapped. I'm looking into valved systems etc. at the moment. Quote

oldbonesmcgee Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 The plinth? I'm not sure which bit you mean? Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 oh right, yeah there is, so you cant remove the holder all together, but if you just go from uk down to US size then there are no holes exposed. Quote
kevykat Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 https://www.dropbox....06 21.13.30.mp4 https://www.dropbox....06 20.16.05.mp4 Sounds pretty sweet. Will see how the standard one sounds when i get home. How much you selling it for anyway? Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Well it cost me £220 new from Turriff Tyres, but I know there is a similar product on ebay for less so I'd say about £160. The tailpipes are the really nice slash cut beveled ones. The ebay part only comes with the cheapy tips Cheers, Dan Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 How you getting on with your car mate? Also any thoughts on a 2015 Nismo facia transplant? Quote
Lacky Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Love it! Not even got my 370 yet and I already want that nismo front bumper! Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Got some potential good news from specialist cars Nissan here in Aberdeen... one step closer 4 Quote

Offshore just now but racked up about 1200 miles in the 3 weeks. That wasn't cheap either. Lol. Lost the back end a couple of time. Fun and games. Have both front and rear dash cams in situ too. Still waiting on my private reg though. The new DVLA process is so slow. Not thought about any mods. Only tinted the windows and got a the roof wrapped. How you getting on with your car mate? Either way, the 2015 Nismo looks incredible imo, I hope you go ahead with this! I've got some rear bits from Tarmac that are still getting painted, I'm going to do them half body colour half black and add a red pinstripe, and I'll add a red pin stripe to the Tarmac side skirts I have on just now, just to see what it looks like. Hopefully it ties in nicely and that'll be that. If not then I'll go from there. Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Just read through your build ...... Looks really really good !! Proper classy Quote

oldbonesmcgee Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 haha, well it looks like it should have more than 330bhp as it stands, never mind once this kit is on! Quote

JoshC Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Are you definitely getting the Nismo bumper then mate? I've put a deposit down on my 370 and been looking at the new Nismo front bumper and boot lid (for the spoiler). Would be interested to see how easy and affordable they are to get hold of! Quote
Smoking Gun Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Lovely looking Z and great build thread. Keep up the good work! I've been thinking of swapping my car for a 350 for a while now but lately am coming to terms with my obsession for a 370! Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Thanks guys, hopefully everything will still go to plan and this won't have too much of an impact... Quote
