US Front Number Plate Bracket

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has done this or considered it.

I have a private plate which is only 5 characters long, so I would like to have a shorter plate, so to make it look nice and clean and neat, I am going to try to get my hands on an American front number plate bracket which is shorter than the UK one.

I can get one from a US seller for 60 quid all in (posted), but I just wondered if anyone knows if you can get them here.

US plate holder:

Another option is to get a plate bracket that screws in where the tow hook goes. That's where I put mine and it keeps the front end nice and cleean and also keeps me from having to drill into my bumper.

@jordan, I was hoping not to need to fill any exposed holes though. I don't really mind the standard mount point I just want a shorter holder.

@zamanalex how much posted to Aberdeen Scotland?

anyone know were you can get single lined 12x6" plates but in white and yellow reflective like uk plates?

as above - I ran my TransAm with a 'States Plates' plate for 11 years with no problem

I have a short holder that came off a JDM, it had a square plate on the front when we got the car :)

Is the plate holder square then or a regular short one to suit rectangular plates? Are you looking to sell it? :)

I am currently in the US on holiday (ish). I have a size digit number plate. Would this work with that? Also would I still be left with the two screw holes in my bumper when I fitted the smaller plate holder or do they just screw into the uk spec bracket.

Many Thanks,

Tom

Its 340 mm long x 125mm in depth. Its off a 350z . Your pic shows you have a blue 370, will it fit ok? £12 delivered

Different shape to fit around the bumper sadly :( Thanks anyway!
