UPREV anyone used TDI North?

Anyone used Abbey m/s northern agent "TDI North" to have the UPREV done?

Been putting off doing this for ages for various reasons, insurance hassle, is the car fast enough already, what if the engine gets damaged etc

Now thinking the cars done 64k so better sooner than later. I'd really prefer to get Abbey to do it but their a bit to far down the road from Geordie land.

Got the plenum spacer, new exhaust and the dosh so if TDI are as good may just go for it.

Not really looking to go faster but would just like to know that the performance is optimumised.

By the way how do you stand if during the remap the engine/other gets damaged, is it down to me or are these companies insured against such things.

I would imagine that if the engine goes boom, it's on you. After all you're paying them to run it at high rev etc to map it...

That's interesting Fluke. It seems to have been a positive experience then. I believe Abbey's guys trained them so did you get the feeling they knew what they were about, did they seem to pay attention to detail and behave professionally ? I assume you can recommend them then?

They seem to specialise in Jap cars, very friendly bunch and I would definitely recommend them.

 

Don't drink the coffee though . I only had one cup and was pissing for England.

TDI know there stuff you will be in good hands , and the uprev is defiantly worth the money it won't give you much more power but the car will drive so much smoother .

Just sent them an email. Only 1.5 hours from my house. Once the Berk HFC's are on, it'll be time to get it tweaked on the dyno.

Had my Z upreved as it were, yesterday with TDI very positive experience, great guys who know thier sh1t. Car is so much better kniow l, so smooth.

I believe you have to sign a waver on the day saying if the car blows its your fault if say for example the roller explodes and sends your car 20ft across the unit, then its their responsibility lol!

You may also want to consider RS Tuning at Armley, Leeds. I had mine done there and he gets rave reviews

Had the remap with the Milltek and Berks HFC last year from TDI - great guys and great service from answering initial queries to performing the work itself. Echo the above comment that is the best thing I've done to the car! Don't think you'll be disappointed

 

EDIT just seen OP was Dec haha, oh well, consider this a recommendation for info
