Evacuating quite a few villages around the Norfolk coast atm supposed to be the highest tides/ surge since '53 !

Pretty interesting here atm....I'm on a Floating drill rig north east of Shetland ...currently 90mph wind and 11 meter waves.

However, by midnight its going to be 20 meter waves!! :surrender: Gonna be a long night...............

Missed this as must've been posting.

Stay extra safe! Same applies to all the guys and gals working offshore or in roles which place them in the elements and potential danger.

Take some snaps/videos? I'd love to experience that!

Unfortunately its pitch black outside.......and if it wasn't, I wouldn't be popping outside to take pictures!

one of my colleagues lives in Felixstowe, he got a call from his wife the police have just been round and told they have to evacuate the area. had to leave early to do what he can before 6 pm when they were shipping everyone out.

Just think how the standby boat are feeling. :surrender:

They've left to seek shelter at Shetland :boat::byebye:

I was watching the boat yesterday when it was 9m ish and definitely wouldn't have wanted to be on it ! Much respect to the guys on them.
