The Tanabe does as I have sold a few to HR owners...

 

You can test the Tarmac one for me if you like as that will be ready soon

Apart from being red I don't really see much difference in style between OEM and Tanabe, hardly seems worth it to me. Let me know about your own brand though and I'm happy to provide a HR test car if needed.

HR engines are taller - dare say that's why it fits very snuggly!

That is exactly the reason why it doesn't fit.

It was 2008 when we tried this, I had one of the first HR engined cars in the UK, so no one knew what would fit and what wouldn't.

Looking at the red car above though, the cusco does appear to fit without spacers/washers and looks lower that the OEM brace so the bonnet shouldn't be a problem. Not sure if the strut actually touching the engine cover would cause damage over time though (e.g: cracking the engine cover)?

I can supply the Carbing strut brace for £325 if anyone is interested. The quality of these is very nice and they fit the DE and HR.
