CamThow
Much noise difference with the custom pipes ? Well, i drove around with the backbox completely off for a day or so to get an idea what id be living with (all my previous cars have had loud exhausts however) So i had an idea, i enjoy'd the note that came off of it, i kept the milltek resonator pipe to keep the noise a bit down when going through residential streets (it works) so yeah overall, i can drive daily with not too much noise, but put the foot down and it makes a fair echo...does vibrate a little (but iv checked, and its more noise vibration than anything else, but its worth it!...Done a few Tunnel runs...and wow, Car Porn as my mates have told me. Lacky
You should get a samurai sword handle, stick the correct thread in and use it as your gear stick.im sure you can get one on ebay for a tenner. Also, get some HFC or De-cats, totally changes the sound! Edited December 2, 2013 by Lacky
CamThow
Small update; New wheel nuts: Oh and New wheels too! Specs are 9.5J Front, 10J Rear...however fronts are hard up against brake calipers so waiting on spacers, which means arch rolling also! And before anyone comments about the arch gap, they wont be going on until i get my coilovers which will be after winter Also interiors stripped, Center console and various bits getting sent away to get custom dipped. Also new double din!
GMballistic
Lovely alloys, tyres and nuts. One thing though if you jack up the car on a gravel drive I would use a large thick wooden board underneath the scissor jack just to be safe.

GMballistic
No probs. Just thought I'd give you heads up. I've had a problem with the scissor jacks in the past too ~ can be so bl**dy dangerous especially on uneven ground or gravel so it really is best to put them on a wooden board as it spreads the load and makes it less likely to just suddenly tip over. Another thing I always used to do was if I had a wheel off just slide that under the car as at least then if the jack fails it gives you a safety gap & the car will fall on to the wheel rather than your legs or head. CamThow
How much did custom pipes set you back ? When i bought the car, it already had a Milltek from Y-piece back. so i had them make it from the the flange and split. took them like an hour and half, but think it was £250which may seem alot but...its a split pipe design and everywhere seemed to charge a lot ha.but least now its interchangable with my other back box...so if police give me a 7 day ticket, its not a problem
CamThow
Ok so got this box yesterday morning, and was very excited to see its contents! displayed: On the car: Pictures dont even do it justice, to see it in person, its awesome! Got this all all the hub, etc to fit too... HOWEVER... Since fitting my interior, i must have tripped something, cause immobiliser activated overnight, drained my battery, locked my out my car, had to go through my arch to pull bonnet cable...cutting my hands leaving blood everywhere...but i was determined. so iv got a new battery in the car, but immobiliser still wont disengaged, removed all my interior again to try source problem...but still doing it, and cant get the sequence of on off of the ignition to work to reset it...so yeah having a REALLY bad day. but still really happy with my interior...going to avoid doing the steering wheel for a while, rather have a working car for least a week... ''/ but nether the less, thats your update

CamThow
Update: Picture when clean: oh and... HSD Coilovers Purchased and fitted. only a slight problem, Fronts go lower than you would ever want. but the rears...i cant seem to get them any lower than what would be similar to standard ride height :s anyone advise? anyway pictures: Original height: Fitting: After:
BillyZed
Nice car mate About the HSDs I had the same problem. What you need to do is drill a hole in the bottom mounts higher up than the original. Also I would get someone with a milling machine as you don't wanna **** it up

Yes mate that's what I did and I had to raise it up as it was too low and needed my arches rolling. If it hasn't gone low enough I would increase the tyre size

CamThow
I'm unsure, the previous owner had literally fitted them to his car and never used them...maybe he stripped them? I don't know, but there's two ways I think I could modify the rears to be lower, but got my MOT booked in April so will wait till after. Got few other things to locate; Recliner bucket seats (recaro or bride) Side steps Black takata harnesses Harness bar So above are the main things I'll try focus on after my MOT Edited March 14, 2014 by CamThow
