Rolling road day - 01/02/14 - Winchester

There has always been good support for these in the past.

If you could get a picture of his set up that would be good as the last one

we had, some of the cars with low body kits could not get on the thing.

Rollers would need a very long run up to get a veilside on or one with the coilovers

slammed!

Well I live in Winchester so it's way to far for me to travel to :p Would love to know what my car is running at. Can you say who the garage are?

Nick (owner) specialises in mx5s but has a dyno and knows his stuff!!

It's pretty awkward to get into his workshop but my old s14a was pretty low and got in fine. My Zed (only lowered 30mm on Eibach) obviously got in easily. A mates old Zed with a Nismo kit got in but there wasn't a huge amount of space under the splitter! He's had some pretty damn low cars in there. The main catch could be splitters on particularly low cars but I'll have a chat with him and see if he has any ideas if he thinks it may be close, if there is anyone with particular concerns.

Well I know who and where they are based now, they normally have a line of MX-5's lined up on the forecourt/parking area on the Stockbridge/Sparsholt road.

Even closer to me then

We have been trying to get Brooklands350 forum member on here and owner of Brooklandkent in Swanley. To get his car on a dyno.

Having looked at about 6 different setups his combination of non ajustable suspension and veilside kit makes it to wide and low to go on a roller set up. At japfest the portable setup even with extended ramps and supports, the front hit the ground as he had to reverse up.

I know he is very keen to get it done, and the 112 Jap limit lifted.

I myself am very interested but at the moment I am awaiting a replacement BOV as mine is sticking badly.

It looks like the Boshe that they fit to the Porsche 911.

If it's stripable I will use it.

At the moment it's racing and the intercooler will burn your hand if ran to long stationary.

Thanks to the kent Z shed and Brooklands for confirming the fault. :)

Count me in as would be interested to see what the old girl can do with the

cobra exhaust I've just fitted.

Also would be nice to catch up with some new faces.

Were you running stock before then Andy? Reckon your get a little more from running the Cobra?

Was running berk h/f cats, miltek y pipe with a k2 mid and back box.

The Cobra makes a totally different sound now from the raspy sound before.

Much quieter on start up and lower speeds, which is good for next door!but when you go for it you get an amazing deep roaring sound

which really warbles like a v6 should!

Pops and bangs on overrun which is nice too!
