It's meant to be a front one but the back one looks stupid shaped like a bannana.

So Chris Brooklands350z and myself got 2 for £40 at Japfest and got Ivor our fabricator to make up a bracket so it would go as far under the car as possible and still retain usability.

Don't know who makes them but its all about fabricating the bracket correctly.

What's wrong with these?

I looked at those, the reds not dark enough.

Hmmm have you been discussing colours with Smudgen?

I'm just the same, has to be the right red. As I've got muteki red nuts too I'll be looking to see what red Haydn ends up with so I can see if it works for me.

'Scuse my ignorance if I'm wrong, but are these the ones you're after?

OH FFS, they're out of stock! I bloody hate websites that will let you place and order, take your money and then contact you a week later saying "oh we don't have it"... that should be made illegal!!

illegal! Whats a sick bird or prey got to do with any of this?

How are these the same red?

I didn't say they are  I was just offering an in stock alternative. However, you do realise they are designed to go in a place which is vulnerable to stones, grime and pulling 1.5 ton out of gravel pits right? I doubt the pretty finish will like too much of any of those?

If I actually have to have my car towed on a track day I'm sure I'll have far more to worry about than replacing a tow hook. :scare:

Another front one made to fit the back.

Fabrication work done by Ivor from Vortec Systems Swanley.

That's one wideee be-hind!

Also to note, if you plan on driving in Germany I'd be careful with these tow hooks, I've not had experience myself, but apparently the German police don't like them as if you hit a pedestrian you're going to do a lot more damage with them (not that 1.5 tons of metal won't anyway  ).

I can imagine many countries are the same... however I can't use the OEM front tow hook on my Z without removing my number plate and Zee bracket and the Chargespeed rear rules out the rear tow hook... I'm always worried I'll get stranded if I brake down.

Have you thought of tow straps? You can get them in red, and you can tuck them out of the way when not in use.

Or just chance it as I guess something like that is only an issue if they pull you for something else first and notice it?
