HaydnH Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 OK, I'm obviously on the red bus now with the new brakes and lug nuts (wheel nuts for us Brits) and I'm looking to buy some of these, I can't access the OEM tow hooks with my bumpers so these are 30% styling and 70% functional considering I want to start tracking the car in future: Apparently there's a ton of fakes around, as per this link: http://benen.com/shop/faqs (link down at time of posting, hopefully it will be back later). There are a few on ebay for about £20 per hook, these are most likely fake! I've also found them for sale on good old reliable Amazon for £70 for front and rear hooks: http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new However, considering the seller on Amazon has 1 customer rating of 2/5 and sells stuff which I can drool over a lot easier than car related gear, I doubt they're real either! Well hello ladies! http://www.amazon.co...=A1NJN2FE05P4MV Sooo... anyone know a reputable seller of Benen Ind products? Tarmac doesn't do them. Haydn. Quote
Paddy78 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Direct from the manufacturer? Probably more expensive, but you know you're defo getting the real deal? Quote
HaydnH Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Direct from the manufacturer? Probably more expensive, but you know you're defo getting the real deal? I'm kind of hoping someone in the UK has stock so I don't have to order from the states, wait and pay stupid tax. Quote
HaydnH Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) BTW, SMD better not click the Amazon shop link, he may end up with a pair of these: EDIT: Better not leave smudgeon out of that: Edited August 19, 2013 by HaydnH Quote

StevoD Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 rather than get 'styling' hooks why not get some that are actually designed to be used http://www.driftworks.com/universal-heavy-duty-motorsport-tow-hook-red-40989.html Quote

Style 1st, function 2nd! That's not strictly true, I still have the rays after all! Although that could be because I like the way the spokes have 3 dots on them that match the door handles rather than them being really good lightweight alloys. Quote
