docwra Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 All the below is good advice but do it in the following order: Good tyres (if they arent already) Proper alignment, kaiser motors etc A proper service with gearbox oil change and molyslip then diff oil change Good brake pads and braided lines with good brake fluid and a braided clutch line, Ebc yellowstuff, hel braided brake and clutch line with ate superblue fluid Rays wheels Good set of coilovers. Hsd, MeisterR etc Adjustable rear camber arms and toe bolts, Eibach Trust me after that lot you'll realise what an awesome car the z really is and how capable it is in every aspect TBH alignment and decent tyres will probably do the trick on their own. And I find the TCS does get in the way but youve probably got a fair amount of confidence to develop before you get there Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Going to try a hunter alignment. At the moment the wheels face straight, but I know its not that simple Any ideas on cost and is there much difference to normal alignment? Quote
Ekona Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Hunter alignment means nothing. It's all about the operator, and a good bloke with some string can be better than an average one with a Hunter machine. I pay anywhere between £50 to £200 for my geo, depending on how far out it's fallen. Go somewhere decent, there must be a place somewhere near you that people can recommend, whereabouts are you again? 1 Quote

Flex Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 With the greatest of respect, perhaps spending some time with an instructor would be cheaper? Definitely worth a shot, cheap track day/evening event + the above. Winning. Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Yehp gonna go some tuition at a race track in couple of months Im west london, not sure which garages are best for hunter Quote
Ekona Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 You don't need Hunter! You need a good alignment, regardless of what they use! Go and see Abbey. No brainer. Quote
HaydnH Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Abbey did my alignment, the car felt so much better after that. Quote
Neilp Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 My alignment was done by ame with a piece of fishing line I'm sure Quote
Level 7 Boss Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 West London, try Pitstop in Hayes on Clayton Road, failing that Abbey or a trader on here will do the job. Quote
