You may not have done anything - fitting it, but you did buy an exhaust that needs work done to it without checking it correctly first, so now you have to get it fixed and pay more money - a la doing it twice :p

It's impossible to check something correctly based on another person's photos. It was checked correctly once unwrapped and the issue has been resolved by the vendor agreeing to pay for all fabrication costs. Now that is the do it nice part, if you want to get all pedantic up in this mother!

Perfect, top stuff on getting the sig sorted

Btw, why do some sigs stay in the middle, and others on the left?

This stupidity annoys me, you use tags like

I think Ekona is just a miserable old before his time fart who likes handbags and drives a beetle...

Those Guinness adverts say that good things come to those who wait and who am I to argue? Welder dropped it off at 12 and it was fully fitted by 3.

So that's an Amuse R1 Titanium cat back and Motordyne Resonated XYZ pipe now ready to add beautiful music to the air of Sunderland and the surrounding villages!

Already had it out for a little test run and it is like driving a completely different car. The countless Chinamen that frequent the University on the main road next to mine also seem to give it the seal of approval!

Anyway....time for some pic porn.

Looks good :)

So how does this exhaust sound compared

to the cobra?

Completely different sound! I went along the motorway to give her a quick burst and got followed by a new modified Impreza STI and gave her a blast right through the rev range. When we got to the roundabout he pulls up next to me and just says, "That sounds AWESOME!"

My gonads are now of wealthy proportions!

Well there's minimal noise inside the car at cruising speeds, whereas the Cobra has an unbearable drone between 2 and 2.5k revs and even when nailing it you have to open the window to get a decent idea of the immense tone it gives off.

I can't really describe the noise, erm deep, burbly down low and then face melting up high.....

Face melting sounds good lol

Yeh I must admit the cobra does drone

but I think it's something I can live with.

Not sure my girlfriend likes the drone, although she did fall asleep in the car the other day so il take that as a pass!

One thing I miss from the stock exhaust is

that classic fluttery sound you get when you take your foot off the gas pedal, does the R1 retain that?

The Cobra kinda did the same thing, I wouldn't know for sure though as mine came with the Cobra attached. The reason I got it changed was because the missus hated the drone and how obnoxiously loud it was. I'm extremely happy with the result but I mean the complete system is worth over 6 times the price of the Cobra brand new so I bloody should be!

Yeah....just one of the few things that need sorting on the car in order to make it perfect. My mate who owned it previously did everything on a budget and so it is now my quest to give the lady the treatment she deserves.

The tyres are on the list of things to do next time home.
