invame Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Just returned from a trip to the Highlands visiting relatives and thought I'd post a few pictures. I'm not much of a photographer and used my phone but hopefully someone can gain inspiration from them. Fuel cost was approximately £300 but well worth it as the driving experience was amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone. Clown Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Thanks for the write-up. The pictures and locations were exactly what I needed! I need to do Scotland. Quote
Stutopia Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Nice snaps, nice route. Did similar myself, must be one of the best places to go road driving anywhere. Quote
Will370z Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Great pics, that first picture looks very familiar, we spent quite a while on that mile of road on the hoon if im ot mistaken. Darren used a 1/4 of a tank going up and down, boy it was fun. Quote
invame Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 The A832 is a fantastic stretch Will370z. I saw your posting SuperStu and I have to agree about the roads being the best. I've been up to Durness and Tongue in the past and also to Applecross but I'm not too keen on the single track roads in the zed - too much scraping as soon as you build up a bit of speed what with the bumps. Different experience in a Golf GTI though as it loved them. The zed more than makes up for it though on the higher speed stuff. Quote
Cragus Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Better do it before border control goes up  1 Quote
