My Supra

Ian

Recommended Posts

Engine is out & ready to be stripped & then sent for machining.

Bottom end will consist of

* Wiseco forged pistons

* Eagle forged rods

* New OEM waterpump

* Titan Motorsports oil pump

* ARP bolts

* ACL bearings

* New OEM gaskets

I've also purchased some TRD engine mounts & new brackets as mine were pretty knackered, TRD thermostat & TRD transmission mounts.

I also got involved a group buy for some Powerhouse Racing pulleys

A local owner with a 700hp Supra has crashed & written off his recently built car - good news for me as I bought his 500 mile old clutch on the cheap :D

Also got a Whifbitz Catch can off him

Also spotted a SRD intake manifold at near half price, so I got that aswell :mrgreen:

Once the bottom end is back then its time to start concentrating on the cylinder head. I still have a few stronger billet brackets and arms that I need to buy but atleast its coming along & I have knocked a surprising amount of parts off the "to buy" list.

Oh wow really! Thats a shame man the 2jz are normally bomb proof (literally) any ideas whats caused it?

Should find out later this week once its been stripped.

Looks like your mind has changed quite a lot with this Ian. I think you are doing the right thing. R34 gtr would be cool but the supra done right is just as nice :thumbs:

My mind is always changing :lol:

TBH, I've done the R34 & with the initial outlay for one I couldn't really enjoy it as much as I could with a cheaper base car.
